I do love coming here, I really do, the Crème brulé is delicious if not my favourite one and has me hooked. The watermelon tea with Lychee bubbles is another favourite and so many more to try. The menu has some brilliant options available, the price is a little high but it's a treat, not an every day drink and a treat each one is...
It's just spoilt by the service.
The last visit took well over 20 minutes to receive my drink, plus an extra 5 minutes to be acknowledged, both staff kept staring at me as if they wanted me to leave, no nod, blink or wave, I nearly walked off and wish I did if I knew the rest of the wait. Sure there was a couple of customers in front of me, and the Crème brulé is probably more difficult to make than others, plus add online orders, but still 20 minutes for a drink? (I know the time as my friend kept telling me every minute as she waited with me...)
Outside ends up chaos when more than two customers appear, no directions where to stand and wait, new customers have no idea what's happening, at least it's some entertainment while you wait...
I love the drinks, writing this makes me want one now, but from now on if there's anyone waiting I won't bother as it takes too long if you're the only customer let alone others in front (comparing to other bubble tea places in Portsmouth I've overed from). I don't get why it...
Read moreI’d give 0 star if I can. I had my worst customer experience today at Mooboo Southsea. Please do CHECK THE PRICE when they charge you. Apparently on the poster, a regular salty taro is £4.09, but I was charged 40p more when no topping added. I paid and waited for my drink, really didn’t care about a 40p difference, just mentioned it to the staff that the poster is quite misleading that there’s a wrong price on it. Then the worst argument started. They said the price is based on the menu, which obviously is different from the poster. But why put a wrong poster on??? I then asked can I order a £4.09 regular salty taro as it is on poster, the staff said no, they don’t have a £4.09 salty taro. I was with my friends and she started making a case to my friends that I was being unreasonably picky and making a fuss without listening to her explanation… then she threw the just made drink I ordered into the bin… yes, she did that.. not sure if I’ll get my refund but never thought a good well reminder from a customer would turn into such a disgusting situation. Im a old customer by the way, loved their bubble tea for the last 3 years, but I assure you I’ll never...
Read moreThis place is a 5/5, would be more if I could. The bubble tea is so nice and well made, and the workers are so friendly and kind. If a mistake is made to a drink (which has happened to me before), they insist on fixing it with no trouble. Getting the app is worth it as well. Inside the shop is a wonderful post-it note wall from what everyone has written on the post-it notes. I'll include a picture. However, it does need more post-it notes!! (It's understandable that they don't have any as the wall is full of notes) the drinks are so tasty, and you have so many options to choose from. The service is quick most of the time, and when it isn't, they always apologise for the wait and are so polite, wonderful workers. They definitely deserve a raise, in my opinion! Also, it came to my attention that the workers themselves don't receive tips, and the tip jar goes to the manager, so do not tip as the workers don't get anything from their work! Hope...
