Shout out for Nathan The most unprofessional and discriminating person I have come across. As a deaf person (and I mentioned many times that I was deaf and couldn't hear) he felt the need to make it clear that he will not speak up and not be clear when confirming the order of drinks. I must have asked about 5 times while 2 staff next to him were just laughing at me as a result. This was a belittling and discriminating service. (CCTV would show this on 14.01.2023 at around 2.10pm) The total at the till showed £10 more than what i had ordered and when I questioned it, he was adamant I had to pay that additional amount because that was what I ordered. (I don't even drink ale!) When I questioned it he stated that it was what was ordered so i had to pay it. I explained that I have only just arrived so how can I order drinks when I am literally at the bar? Finally the order was changed to truly reflect what I had ordered though this was done in a very "huff" way. I felt the whole experience very discriminating. My friend then went to go and speak to the manager at the time who just looked like he didn't care about the whole thing.

Waited for a drink for over half an hour multiple people pushing in front as usual. Finally got the front after patiently waiting and was deliberately ignored. Went to the end of the bar and was with no exaggeration served within minutes. Confronted the bar staff and manager who’s trying to emulate Justin bieber with his tragic hair cut. To be told we weren’t served for being rude and abusive despite not saying a word the whole of the time waiting until after we gave up. Absolutely embarrassing for staff who are earning minimum wage who can’t even be arsed to do their jobs properly. Cut the attitude and you might actually get somewhere. Some training on how to serve drinks would definitely be of use to all staff. Shocking venue would never ever go there again. Really hope ownership reads this as you’ve lost a significant amount of revenue, which is no doubt all you care about due to shocking service. And without exaggeration was said by 20+ people around me. Well done...

My friends and I came today for your bottomless brunch. It was a friends birthday and we’d looked around a few places and all agreed to come to the scarlet tap (a little bit based on your 25% off throughout all of January deal) but also as we’d all had previous bad experiences from past bottomless brunches we’d been to around Portsmouth. I just wanted to say that it was great!! The food was amazing, the drinks were flowing and we all had a great time!! I don’t drink so should have thought about not being included but it was an after thought I didn’t know I could do, but regardless, the lady who looked after us, who I wish I could remember her name, she was amazing!
