Origin Bakehouse — Restaurant in Preston

My girlfriend and I come here quite a bit and I’ve never had anything bad to say about it. the vegan options are amazing (i’m vegan, girlfriend is not) but they also have a lot of great non-vegan options. the bakes change every day but the same ones appear on a rotation - my favourite is the leek, potato and caramelised onion pastry (pictured) - and they’re always spot on in every respect. The staff are lovely and the atmosphere is so calming and cosy with great music and lots of natural light. Origin has become a special little place for us to spend some quality time together on the weekends and it’s definitely a local business that deserves all the support it gets and more. I've been going to this cafe regularly for a couple of years now. Really delicious bakery (all vegan) and toasted sandwich options (meat and vegan) that change daily. The bread is honestly incredible. Coffee is also very good (recently gone up in price by 50p but still reasonable!). And alternative milks don't cost extra which is always nice. Not the cheapest place but worth it.

Service can be quite slow but it's only a small place so that's to be expected. Most of the staff are really friendly but the only negative is that sometimes they will just ignore you until they're ready - it would be nice if they even just acknowledged that you're waiting!

Overall, proof of how good this cafe is is demonstrated in the fact I go back every week! Please keep doing amazing...

I visited today with my mum and little boy and and was very impressed by the bakes, we shared a cake, cookie, croissant and bostock between us and they were all DELICIOUS.
