I came into store and purchased half a chicken meal, came home and started to eat my food, the food was really good until I realised the inside part of the chicken wasn’t cooked properly and was pink and jelly like, I immediately rang the store which they said please bring the food in and they will replace the food, I mentioned a small amount has been eaten but I have spat it out so its dirty bringing it back, but as they insisted I just put it in the bag and brought it back (baring in mind I drove 20minutes there and 20minutes back as I live near the other side of preston). When I came into store all the staff started observing the spat out food which was raw and was questioning me. The cook on the grill mentioned I should have asked for the food to be well done but chicken should be well cooked regardless as it can’t be pink or raw. Either way I went about my own business and waited for my food to be made again. As I was collecting the food the guy on the till called Mohin told the nice lady on the fries duty to not put red salt on my fries on purpose, I then had to ask if he could do so which he was annoyed about, he then mentioned I shouldn’t be eating half the chicken before bringing it back (baring in mind I only realised as it was the inner part of the chicken that was raw) they were trying to accuse me of trying to cheat them but why would I waste 2 hours of my day driving back if the chicken was fine, It actually made me feel really angry as I am a paying loyal customer who comes in everyweek for the food as it’s usually really good. They made me feel really embarrassed and uncomfortable as they made these accusations infront of everyone in the store. This goes to show that there is no professionalism or courtesy for paying customers. The chicken shouldn’t be raw end of and if a paying customers goes out of his way to return the chicken for a new one he isn’t going to do so to seek advantage. I normally order a Chicken XL burger, some tender strips and a wrap (obviously not all for me😜)
But today when I ordered a chicken wrap with no mayo it came with mayo so I rang and told them. In simple words she accused me of lying saying I made it myself and there is no mayo on it. Then to top it off the "manager" said to me I've checked on the CCTV and she didn't put mayo on. Yeah right! I said I can't bring it back now as it was late. But he just wasn't interested. If I was allergic to mayonnaise and if something was to happen what would they do then? When I asked this question she was like "oh I'm sorry if you're allergic to it"
And the wrap had more salad than chicken. I had to take so much salad out. A 1/4 of it was just the wrap and no filling. Very disappointed.
Not to mention the chicken "strips" I ordered. I didn't even tell them about that. Two were fine. The other three were like popcorn chicken.

I can’t express enough how disappointed and disgusted I am with the food I’ve received from Pepes recently. My latest experiences have been nothing short of a joke, and I strongly advise anyone thinking of ordering from here to avoid it at all costs.
A couple of weeks ago, I ordered a burrito that was the thinnest, most pathetic excuse for a burrito I have ever seen. They completely missed essential ingredients, like kidney beans, making it bland and incomplete. It felt like a sad, empty wrap rather than a proper burrito.
Thinking it might have been a one-off issue, I gave them another chance and ordered their strips meal over the weekend. What a mistake that was! The chicken strips were shockingly dry—practically inedible. How they can serve such poor-quality food and charge over £10 for a meal is beyond me. It’s infuriating and feels like a complete waste of hard-earned money.
I will be escalating this to Pepes HQ because it’s simply unacceptable. I’ve also warned my family and friends to steer clear of this horrid place. Charging premium prices for less-than-mediocre food is an absolute disgrace. Avoid Pepes...
