I visited Bombay Punjabi restaurant twice this April and want to share my experiences, which were mixed due to issues with the service, despite the enjoyable food.
Visit 1 (April 3rd): I ordered Pav-Bhaji, Chilli Paneer, and Fried Rice. Before leaving, I double-checked with the counter staff(female) to ensure all items were packed. Unfortunately, the Pav was missing when I got home, replaced by Golgappas (without water). After contacting the restaurant, the manager acknowledged the mistake and offered to either deliver the missing item or provide a complimentary order on my next visit. Due to our immediate hunger, I opted for the latter.
Visit 2 (April 10th): I returned and reminded the same female staff member of the prior issue. I ordered Pav Bhaji again plus other items. Surprisingly, I was told I would be charged for the Bhaji because it was included last time, even though the Pav—which completes the dish—was not provided. Despite explaining that Pav Bhaji is served as a combination, the staff insisted that the Golgappas from the first order compensated for the oversight. To avoid unnecessary argument, I agreed to pay the asked amount.
While the food was tasty and we enjoyed it, the customer service was disappointing. The incidents reflect a lack of understanding of basic customer service principles and dish composition. It's frustrating not only because of the cost or the extra effort to resolve these issues but because good service is as crucial as good food. Hopefully, the restaurant can improve this aspect to match the quality of...

Visited today and ordered Panipuri and Dahipuri, unfortunately, I left disappointed with both the food and the service.
Right from the start, the experience felt off. The table we were seated at still had used dishes from the previous customers, which hadn’t been cleared. Not the most welcoming start.
Now, on to the food: The Dahipuri was missing its star ingredient: the Dahi. We actually had to search for it, and eventually realised it was barely there. As for the Panipuri, it came with literally no filling and absolutely no sweet chutney. Even the sev topping was used so sparingly, it felt like an afterthought. Honestly, both dishes tasted like they were made by someone still learning rather than someone experienced in preparing chaat. For £5 each, it simply wasn’t worth it.
When I shared my feedback at the counter, I was told things are too hectic in the kitchen (while we were the only customers there) and that the server assumed we were in a hurry, yet it still took around 12–15 minutes to serve us. That explanation didn’t quite justify the lack of quality or attention to detail.
No service, no taste, and no value for money. I hope they seriously consider improving both their kitchen operations and customer service because right now, it's just...

As a Pakistani, I often miss the flavors of home, and this wonderful restaurant brought me right back with their incredible Alo Paratha and Alo Mathe.
