Pizza House — Restaurant in Reading

Placed an order here though uber eats, waited an hour (keep in mind this place is less than 15 minutes away from me) only for it to be cancelled an hour after they had accepted the order and when it was supposedly being prepared. I phoned them and asked what the problem was, they then claimed i lived over an hour away, then we came to an agreement that i was infact only 10-15 minutes away. Despite this they then went on to say that they had a pricing error on their uber eats page (not for me to know and also out of my control) and that was why they cancelled my order, after an hour of waiting. I asked if anything can be done about this, to which the response essentially boiled down to "go elsewhere", no compensation or anything for the complete waste of time for something that is their error and not mine. For that i can only say the service i have received from this restaurant has been shoddy and i would not recommend anyone else the headache and waste of time it is...

Absolutely terrible service I do not recommend this takeaway I waited nearly 2 and half hours for my food. They said on deliveroo it should be hear by 19.10 then phoned me saying it will be there at 19.30 as they can't drive down frier street to my flat but there is a different route they could take if theu bothered to look, Then I phoned bk up at 19.45 asking where the food was and they said it will be 10 more mins till out for delivery but took another 35mins. Then when it finally arrived the driver was telling me to come to his car and get the food as he thinks he cant park but actually there is one spot across the road or of they wasn't lazy they could off parked at the station and walked it up. We ordered pizza on Sunday 29th April at around 4.00pm at the Pizza House Oxford Road. Not only was the costumer service very bad. But, my friend and I witnessed one member of staff dropped a cooked chicken fillet on the floor whilst preparing a chicken burger. After checking that no one was looking proceeded to picked it up and put it in the burger ready to serve it. When we complained about the incident, they tried to deny what we witnessed.
