The Butler — Restaurant in Reading

Seen reviews for Sunday roast turned up with no sunday roast on offer as we alcohoics do not drink Alcohol and my sober friend was asked to leave. They done us a real favour as found a much bettter venue with free drinks for drivers we wont recomend this venue very clicky for non locals. We dont undersand that they said inside we could order food to be delivered that would come with drinks. I was off site at the time drinking my 50p can from iceland which i did think it was a not a good thing to have my drink on the premisis so only drink water in any case. So to all AA worldwide...

Unfortunately this great pub has now gone "cashless". I prefer the choice to pay cash too. After all it is the national currency. Business like this are walking blindly into a future which is called Digital Communism where everyone's movements and transactions are 100% monitored. I walked all the way up to the pub to give it a try for a change as I come Reading regularly only to be told they were shutting at 6 even though it clearly says on their website and outside they open till 10.30 on a Sunday! I couldn't even get half.Very disappointed it probably be shut next time I come if they cant even stick to their own advertised...
