KFC Reading - Forbury Retail Park — Restaurant in Reading

Went here because my closest KFC was very busy so I drove across the other side of Reading ordered my meal in the drive-through when I got home my order was completely wrong Phoned head office gave me a reference number and told me that my meal will be replaced or I would have a refund drive back to KFC two days later to collect my refund and was refused the refund after being told by head office that I would be refunded reason being I had 24 hours to come back to the store I wasn't given this information from head office asked to speak to manager who was very rude and told me I need to phone head office again I told him I have a reference number written on the receipt and that he would need to phone head office not me because I have been messed about for a second time at this point told him I wasn't going to move from the window until he had phoned head office,he then replied "I am going to phone the police if you don't move you need to phone head office"I just like to add I had my 11-year-old daughter with me in the car who began to feel distressed and alarmed that the manager had said he was going to phone the police so I had to park at the front of the building because my daughter was distressed about the situation phoned head office and was put on hold while head office phoned the branch that I was sat outside I was then told by head office that I would not be refunded because it is gone over 24 hours since I bought the meal I found the whole ordeal very unprofessional even on the managers behalf,if anything I would give this branch I miss never had this kind of experience at any other of their branches only this one very non-understanding manager wasted my time driving across the other side of Reading for a second time only to be messed around again I advise anyone not to use this branch very disappointed just like to say I was given a £20 voucher which I have to wait 10 days for it to come through the post and my meal only cost £12.86 or something Can't believe that multi million pound company couldn't refund me back £12.86...

I'm giving Forbury KFC a no star rating (but had to give at least one to post) for Forbury Retail Park Reading for the following reasons. Since Kfc has opened they have probably had only one week of a full menu and the menu has gotten even worse since the whole palava with the delivery companies changing (Feb time I think that was). I feel sorry for the serving staff there (except the manager, because he should know what he has to do to fullfill customers needs and order and stock up in what is popular with them) because they get it in the ear from customers (including myself) for never having anything that you want. For instance today I asked for a popcorn chicken meal with a Krushems.. yet again no krushems (4th day running) had to settle for pepsi.. also a latte and a cookie please.. what cookie madam? Chocolate plz.. leaves til to check.. sorry no cookie.. ok what do you have? just a latte then.. I pay then drive round to pick up.. sorry we dont have latte because we dont have milk.. no cookies or any deserts.. we have black coffee or black tea.. the server was nearly in tears and told me that she had been shouted at all day by unsatisfied customers queuing, paying and then being let down because no one knows anything about when stock will be available. I've sat in the drive thru for longer than 15 minutes and on one visit and decided to then stop the engine call the manager on my phone to ask whats going on and he came to the window but didnt have anything to say apart from we are busy. Think i'll give this place a miss next time as its always disappointment. If you want to wait for you food for less than 15 -20 mins dont bother going to this place. Kfc head office...

i'm unfamiliar to kfc so i tryed this: mega box 1 i'll have to buy another to confirm which. piece i preferred it was very good. might want to save an orange tango as they are usually the fizziest you will find for later to wash your finger licking goodness down at the end. i ate takeaway and the open box was easy for eating on a walk "Price: £4.00. Get more bite for your buck with the Streetwise Mega Box: 1 piece of Original Recipe Chicken, 1 Mini Fillet, 2 Hot Wings, Large Fries and Regular Gravy all for a tasty price of £3.99. It's all the fuel you'll need to get you through to dinner. You know it makes sense". i want to joke around for a moment, i tryed to check the additional condiments and the lemon sachet got my attention, trying to pour a refresher wipe on my chicken was a good laugh. so i cleaned my hands im much more of a pepper person for my chips, but i did not see any. but its all gravy good. i went to top up my bank balance after negotiating a sale on silver coins at the local jeweler only to have the hsbc staff try to throw away my box, it reminds me of not being able to save "my" i mean "the" cola's at showcase cinema :) the cashier was jealous, and the local non-additive tobacconist was too, as we say in pub g battlegrounds - winner winner chicken dinner. I also handed in a CV with drive thru tips from my mcdonalds experience so im sure they will impress you soon. lastly, remember to grab another refresher wipe...
