Nestled in the heart of Reading, Thai Corner is a culinary haven that beckons both locals and visitors alike to embark on an unforgettable journey through the flavors of Thailand. From the moment you step into this charming eatery, you are enveloped in an atmosphere that seamlessly fuses traditional Thai warmth with a modern, inviting ambiance.

Upon entering, the intricate décor immediately transports you to the vibrant streets of Bangkok, with its rich colors, elegant wooden accents, and subtle Thai artifacts that add an authentic touch. The attention to detail in creating an aesthetically pleasing space reflects the restaurant's commitment to providing a holistic dining experience.

The staff at Thai Corner is not just knowledgeable about the menu; they are passionate ambassadors of Thai cuisine. Their warm welcomes and attentive service contribute significantly to the overall dining pleasure, making you feel like an honored guest rather than a mere customer.

Now, let's talk about the star of the show—the food. Thai Corner's menu is a symphony of flavors, offering a diverse selection that caters to all tastes. From classic favorites to regional specialties, each dish is a masterpiece, expertly crafted using fresh, high-quality ingredients that showcase the authenticity of Thai cuisine.

Begin your culinary adventure with the Tom Yum Goong, a signature Thai soup that tantalizes the taste buds with its perfect balance of spicy, sour, and savory notes. The aromatic herbs and spices used in this dish set the tone for the culinary journey that follows.

For those seeking a symphony of flavors, the Pad Thai at Thai Corner is a must-try. The stir-fried noodles are expertly combined with tamarind, peanuts, and lime, creating a harmonious blend of sweet, tangy, and nutty tastes. Each bite is a revelation, highlighting the chef's skill in achieving the perfect balance of textures and flavors.

The menu doesn't just cater to meat lovers; it also offers an impressive selection of vegetarian and vegan options. The Green Curry with Tofu is a shining example, where the velvety coconut milk-based curry is infused with aromatic herbs, providing a delightful contrast to the crispness of the tofu.

No visit to Thai Corner is complete without indulging in their dessert offerings. The Pineapple Fried Rice is a sublime conclusion to your culinary journey, with perfectly ripe mango slices adorning a bed of sweet sticky rice, drizzled with coconut milk. It's a sweet note that lingers long after your meal is over.

In conclusion, Thai Corner in Reading is not just a restaurant; it's a culinary destination that transports diners to the heart of Thailand. With its inviting ambiance, attentive service, and a menu that reads like a love letter to Thai cuisine, this establishment has rightfully earned its place as a gastronomic gem in the bustling food scene of Reading. Whether you're a Thai food aficionado or a curious first-timer, Thai Corner is sure to leave an indelible mark on your taste buds and your...

Incredible authentic Thai food with great service. Every dish was flavoursome and seasoned very well.

The crispy salt and pepper squid was fried beautifully - perfectly tender and crispy yet not greasy. A lovely sweet chilli dipping sauce massively enhanced the taste of the squid. Simply delicious.

Both the lamb massuman curry and green curry with prawns were rich, smooth and creamy. They went extremely well with their fragrant coconut rice and completely elevated the meal to another level. I have to stress how impressed I was by the tenderness of the lamb, it was impeccable. Both curries were very mild which differs from the traditionally spicy green curry. I think this flavour doesn't just suit the masses here, but is also enjoyed by Thai people. It's really worth a try if you're in town!

To finish off, we ordered 3 scoops of ice cream - mango, green tea and Thai milk tea. The mango and green tea ice creams tasted fresh and refreshing which were my favourite of the three.

The service was quick and friendly. It was a lovely restaurant to dine in, it's just a shame that the ceiling was a bit low and seemed a little claustrophobic.

Overall, the meal was very enjoyable. The only thing that the restaurant could improve on was probably their stir fry morning glory - the flavour was not fully absorbed into the Vege. Other than this, everything was brilliant! I'd 100% come back here the next time I'm in town!

Review update: still love most of the foods, though this time we tried beef with red curry and the beef were a little tough to chew. The sizzling pork neck were not the most tender pork neck either. Unfortunately had to knock off a star because of this.

However, I tried their special cocktail and desserts this time and thoroughly enjoyed them.

I’d still come back here when I’m next in town. I just have to stick with chicken and prawns as the...

Fiancée and I went in to celebrate our engagement without a reservation. Upon entry, there were no tables but the front of house team member estimated a table being ready for us within 20 minutes.

A table was ready for us within 15-17 mins (was literally checking the time constantly), we sat down and a waitress was with us to take our order. The menu had vegetarian options for people like myself although a little extra dishes for vegetarians would help a lot.

The service was tremendous and incredibly outstanding. The food was nicely cooked and we enjoyed the cocktails, fiancée ordered ‘Sex on the beach’ and I ordered ‘Cocoláda’ which brought the final palette for night out to a close.

Desert menu didn’t have more options but it’s not a dealbreaker as shops like Creams around in case you’re in the mood for something more sweet.

A complimentary mint was offered after the cheque was brought to us which is a really nice touch to the dining experience

Team members thanked us for coming in and we expressed our gratitude for the service and meals served.

I must add that the restaurant can do with a bit of security at the front door. During our time there, some random guy walked in and yelled some harsh statements which I cannot recall but might have put some guests off. I’d be glad if a little attention can be paid at the door to prevent people like this John Doe walking into the restaurant to yell harsh words which can...

If you are looking for Authentic Thai food, it's here! I passed by Reading station for many times but I don't think I ever had a chance to get out but this time I did and not regret... accidentally found this place. When I first walked in on the Friday night, I was like oh shoot... there looks full and I wish to have just 1 seat for me to have dinner. And yes they managed it for me because mostly people came here as a big group especially Friday night. You're better makes a booking. If you're not come here alone like me, you might get upset because it's totally full. They have a lot of choices and quite various. And when the food arrives, I understand why here is so busy... they are looking good and taste really really good too. And it's Authentic! 😱 I'm Thai who can't eat too much spicy and I got a kick 🌶🥵. I don't know how to explain but it's something that we can handle and yummy! 😋 Please make sure you can handle it because here is Thai level of spicy, not local people spicy level. But it's yummy!!! And next time I won't just passed by but here will be my destination of my next journey~ Oh, all staff here are nice and friendly too! #Thankyousomuch
