Have been coming here for years, as Rye is the perfect destination on a morning's motorcycle ride. Free bike parking is available immediately opposite the café, though it's a bit of a squeeze to get between the barrier and the wall if your bike is carrying large panniers.... Anyway, there's a warm welcome awaiting you in the café. In normal times there's loads of seating indoors. In the post covid apocalypse version of 2021, the café operates a takeaway system, though as from Monday just gone, a small outside seating area is available. The breakfasts are great, the cakes are delicious, the service is fast & friendly, and if you like a bit of football-based banter, mein host can provide that too (he's a Man City fan, but you can forgive him this small aberration because he's a top fella)....Well...

The bread was lovely and fresh and very light not stodgy at all . There was plenty of filling all cooked to perfection . The price was very reasonable and the staff were very friendly Unfortunately it is only small inside and there wasn't enough tables there are tables outside but it was raining so many people came into the cafe but had to leave as the tables were taken , alot of 4 seater tables were taken up by 2 people I think more 2 seater tables instead of 4 seater would benefit the cafe as more people could be seated .
