Stopped in here on our Boxing Day walk to grab coffee and ice cream.

It was very nearly completely full which is wonderful to see in this economy.

It’s compact inside and we were bustled about a little so after ordering our coffees we waited outside and a member of staff kindly brought them out to us which was appreciated (we weren’t expecting them to, we were going to go back in after a few mins as it had taken a little while to order and there seemed to be a queue for coffees)

The prices for food seem reasonable and there was a lot of people taking food outside so it seems popular.

This isn’t a criticism as we all have different palates - the coffee was a tad too bitter for us personally BUT they had decaf and I was able to get oat mylk in mine. Next time we'll order a different drink and hopefully we’ll have time to stay and eat.

The staff were very friendly and personable even with a busy boxing day trade.

Our son tried bubblegum ice cream for the first time and that was a winner!! 😀🥰

Would recommend based on our...

We have been here once before and were really impressed with the quality of the food so we went back when wanting a nice sandwich for lunch.

Sadly this time around the experience was not as good yet this place is still worth a visit.

The bad: staff were smoking outside (which is good) but did it right at the entrance so no getting away from it when needing to go in or out staff were having lunch when we were there and decided to sit at one table speaking their own language whilst an English colleague was left to eat and was only spoken to right at the end which I find rather rude the establishment is also a shop for some curiosities yet not everything has a price which makes it feel like they can charge what they want my other half ordered a burger which was cheap and greasy

The good: lovely location right in the middle of beautiful Rye staff are always polite and friendly to customers sandwiches are amazing : good quality bread and generously filled the coffees...

Well what else can I say about this place apart from the fact it's brilliant, it's really quirky, staff are friendly, the food is lovely and hot and good value and you get huge portions also they had a huge range of home made cakes which were divine and the most heavenly ice cream, that's the only negative is knowing what to choose for pudding and the best thing for me they allow dogs in there as long as they're well behaved they can sit under the table or next to you, mine was elderly and in a little pram and they also sell little pots of doggy ice cream.

We stumbled upon this place purely by accident and I'm so glad we did, my dad and myself were staying in camber sands and we ended up coming here every day for lunch as it was only a 15 min journey plus there is a car park right next door.

Well worth a visit whether you're just passing by or staying at a near by...

Fantastic place. After nearly an hour of umming and aahing in the centre of rye we stumbled across this place. Really good menu as we only wanted lunch. Went for the rye breakfast in the end, served on a plate that you could land a whale on, it was a touch scary. In true British fashion I struggled on until the end. It was a fantastic plate of food freshly cooked. My wife had a falafel and hummus wrap served with chips. These also included ropes and pitons should you wish to climb them before eating, the portion was that big.
