Not very friendly and slow service with no smiles and high prices. Don't bother.

Update due to the arrogant owner reply who can't take honest criticism professionally: We are all suffering not just you! So you need to give an amazing customer service to your clientele and let them decide if you are really worth 5 stars or not! As a professional local guide for years I found that your arrogant answer says a lot about your management style. I had to repeat my order 4 times as the non-smiling girl still insisted to pick the wrong smaller container while she is being distracted by her friend inside! And that's after she just left me at the counter without any reason after serving the previous customer who left already to just talk to her friend for leaving us on the window wondering and looking at her to get her attention. No eye contact or an appology for the long wait while she finished her story while we are queuing at 34c outside. Good luck with your poor level of service and attitude to ignore bad reviews. Customers don't owe you a visit. You owe them a beautiful experience and gratitude for being a custom! No one is "entitled" for amazing reviews unless...

I had a really horrible experience here and I'm still quite shaken by it. My friends and I bought ice creams and soft drinks. We finished our ice creams quickly but were still finishing our drinks. However, we were asked to leave our table as they claimed the table was reserved, even though they don't have a reservation system.

We happily moved to another free table where we were immediately asked to leave again, even though we were still finishing what we had ordered before. The owner then said she didn't believe we had already ordered food and asked us to prove it. We were made to feel really uncomfortable, and when we offered to order more food they responded passive-aggressively and again insisted we leave even though there were four empty tables around us. The cafe itself was really nice and in a great location. But I have never experienced such unpleasant customer service and I don't understand why the owner was so...

Buzzing little cafe situated at the bottom of Ryes famous Mermaid Street. Friendly staff and a venue for ice cream , hot drinks and milkshakes made from any of the ice cream flavours, sandwiches and snacks to cover all tastes. Vegan etc. My partner had a cappuccino and I had a latte to accompany our local crab baps , which were lovely and generous portions of crab and salad. Plenty of outdoor seating. Well worth a visit.Extra seating available directly above cafe via steep steps and through the hotel bar and reception.

31st December 2021 I popped in and was going to get 2 Crab sandwiches. The Crab delivery had not yet arrived . But there was Rye bay Scallop and Bacon baps. I got 2 to take away. Absolutely lovely very tasty. Don't take my word for it go get one and try...

Went for a hike and offcourse googled the must visits in Rye and it topped the list. Was looking forward to my breakfast but it was a major letdown! Expensive. The person at the till didn’t seem interested in business. The café opposite was much more happening nice. I had a mocha, a croissant which felt was from last evening and a lotus biscoff cake which had a hair on it😞😨 The mocha was decent. They have next to no vegan / vegetarian option so guess what I had to rely on a ploughman sandwich which felt like Tesco’s. Felt let down! Guess won’t trust google now.

A very nice walk from the castle to the Copper Horse. Lots of green space to walk or a paved path if you prefer to run. No cycling allowed, but it seems everyone is accepting of scooters for the very young visitors. Part of the walk does require crossing a busy road, but traffic was kind enough to stop fairly frequently. As you get closer to the statue you can see a good number of the deer from the park. They are clearly used to people and allow you to get close enough for good pictures and observations while maintaining a safe distance.
