Great initiative but staff are not the friendliest. Have been there four times for kids parties and each time it felt rather tense and pedantic rather than fun and relaxing. I am not sure what they are so afraid of, they are just cats, what is the worst that can happen? If you can't relax having kids or people around your cats perhaps stick to just a cat adoption agency and raise money in other ways rather that a social enterprise, or at the very least don't serve food if it's stressing you out so much (plus a lot of packaging is going to waste!). Hoping I don't have another party to attend here but wish the cats well!
In response to the owner: it is a shame that you couldn’t take time to reflect on my review and instead chose to to reply defensively and judge me personally. You know nothing about my nature, in fact I will always give positive feedback in-person however, negative feedback in this country is usually met with indifference or defensive aggression, which is evidenced by your response. I therefore use Google reviews to give negative feedback, if warranted, as I feel it’s the only place I feel safe and comfortable enough to do so. I’m a very reasonable and fair person, I gain absolutely nothing from giving a negative review. Perhaps if your cats are as traumatised as you say you should not have children’s parties, as surely the cats and kids are put at risk? I know from trying to adopt a cat before, they would not consider us as we had children, it seems you have a different stance or priority. And please don’t question my honesty, I have been to 4 separate parties on separate occasions so not sure what you are implying as you host regular children’s parties no? So surely I’ve been to enough of them to have an opinion? You are clearly very passionate about your cats, it appears less so about your fellow human. Why not take the feedback onboard and accept that maybe, just maybe, you could loosen up and offer a more relaxed environment instead of assuming that children will attack your cats, it’s probably more likely to be the other...
Read moreI really enjoyed the fact that when we arrived they had a tombola outside and another table selling cat cushions, cards and a few other bits and bobs. I got some really nice goodies to take home with me. When we finally reached our destination to be with the cats they were all lying basking in the sun. In typical cat style they were not too interested in the humans wanting to visit them. There were a good couple of cats around and honestly it's hard to say who the favorites are as they are all gorgeous. Two that stuck out for me was Bat Cat which is a new black cat and an older cat and Mr Wobbly Cat who is a lanky youngster black cat who is adorable. Again they are all gorgeous but these two just stood out for me the most. I personally am a cat lover of note and have rescued many in my life so felt a little hard done by not being able to smother them in love.... ha ha... I totally get the house rules but would have broken many had I been left to my own devices as honestly it's really hard not to cuddle a cat. This was like being in cat heaven. On a more serious note it's hard work that goes into the running of a place like this. Well done to all those involved. You are doing a huge service to those cats who deserve a loving...
Read moreI took my dad for a visit here and we both really enjoyed it. Neither have been to a cat cafe before but I've wanted to for a while. The two staff were lovely and very welcoming. It was so special to be in the cafe area with the cats and I was pleased to see there's a separate room that the cats can go to if they don't want to be with people. Mostly they did! All with a different story to tell and all up for adoption (apart from the owner's cat who looked like top cat to us :-) The carrot cake was yummy and I loved that we were given small bowls of biscuits to feed the cats with, ensuring they were interested in us, and it was fun. There's a shop with all sorts of catty goodies and I bought two pairs of cute earrings, very reasonably priced. I loved the beautiful decor right through to teaspoons with cat handles, cat cushions, fun little posters in the loo, etc etc, and also all the diverse range of events that are put on through the week, including special days like Father's day. All in all a great experience. Thanks to the staff, they made it very enjoyable, and I was grateful to have the chats and learn more about what they do and more about the background of each cat, sometimes rescued from...
