The moment I walked in, I was greeted by Peri, the owner, whose warmth and friendliness made me feel instantly welcomed. The customer service here is truly extraordinary. Peri goes above and beyond to ensure each visitor feels valued and leaves with a smile. But let's talk about the coffee—it is simply outstanding. A friend and I went for our first trip here in a while as lockdown had put paid to our visits and unfortunately the original Fordes eventually closed for good. The new Fordes didn’t disappoint and the makeover it’s had during closure is lovely, fresh new flooring and sumptuous wall colour really sets the tone and the green tea and coffee and food we had were all lovely! The new owner has done a great job all round and I would recommend anyone to pay a visit here, especially as the prices are so good and you don’t feel ripped off because of the location. I have just visited Fordes following the covid closure. Staff are welcoming and knowledgeable, are always happy to see you and chat. My favourite sandwich- toasted panini Brie, mixed peppers and red onion chutney. Yummy!! Coffee always excellent quality, the barista really know their beans ( pun intended)!
