We planned a corporate event here last week, and Alice could not have been more helpful. We were travelling in from London and she was in communication the entire time leading up to the event, helping us choose food options and offering drinks packages to suit our budget. On the day of the event, she was there the entire time to ensure everything ran smoothly. Despite the number of guests being inaccurate, she was professional throughout, accommodated our changing numbers, and no request was too much. The upstairs room where we had our event was perfect in terms of environment; tidy and laid out in a way which was conducive to networking, music not too loud, and the food (although pub food, and nothing fancy) was laid out buffet style and was very tasty. Must make a special mention that the toilets were very clean! Always a plus! I highly recommend this pub for events, it is also very well located, right on the canal. Definitely get in contact with Alice, she will talk you through everything. She even called our cab for us at the end! Thank you to Old Pint Pot and to Alice...

took an hour to get served in an hour and forty five minute slot. luckily we ordered two drinks each. we got served again 15 minutes before our slot was over and was told if we que back up as a walk in we could get back in. Me and my friend went to que back up as we had finished our drinks, after all the bookings had been let in the manger looked at me and my mates and said you lot wont be getting back in. The manger then started shouting at my friends partner after he asked why we aren't allowed back in as we had not be rowdy nor were we disruptive, all the waitresses were lovely however the manger really needs to look at his interpersonal skills, as he clearly can not effectively communicate or diffuse a situation in a clam manner, instead he started shouted at paying customers first. Being calm and diffusing situations should be a key quality for a manger of a pub to have. This is only my personal experience but many people i have spoken to have had similar experiences with this manager. There definitely room for...

I feel compelled to write a negative review about the old pint pot. (Don't order food here) Let me start by saying that it's a nice place to have a drink and a sit down and play some pool (as all pubs should) decent atmosphere like 👍 👌 BUT..the food they serve here is an absolute joke, and I recommend you to save your money and eat somewhere else... I went to order a burger, and then they returned by saying that they don't have buns 😅..I then asked for fish and chips, but they said they had no fish, only chips 🤔...so I ordered oven made cheesey chips and onion rings...and I was highly disappointed that it was THE SMALLEST PORTION SIZE I'VE EVER SEEN.. This portion would only be for fit for a medieval peasant, and nothing else. I complained to the chef and manager, who both lacked accountability by saying that it wasn't their fault, and it was the franchising managers issue....🧐 Regards, Kauri

An absolute hidden 💎 I worked opposite this establishment for almost a year and never ever visited (I don't regret many thing's but this is one of them) especially during the summer months 😔 WOW! My partner works at Salford Uni, so last wk I had finished work prior to her and had half an hour to kill, decided to pop in 😯 The Staff / The Music / The Lager / The Setting 🥰 Right up my street, wish I'd of taken more photos to verify my genuine like for this place, the fact the owner "Deano" is a Boro lad does sway my opinion slightly "NGL" Especially after he gifted me a beer runner for my home-made bar 🙏 Love the place.. Will post more photos next week when I'm back next week 💯 % ❤👊

I’ve been coming here for 30 years, it was the Adelphi back then. It’s changed hands many times and they all seem to have great ideas for the place that come to nowt and it’s a shame. it has so much potential but is just being left to go to pot really. It has a great outdoor beer garden overlooking the river but it is shabby and weed ridden. When the students have gone home for the hols it is quiet. The food is basic. We come here for the beer garden tbh, hope it keeps going but just wish someone would invest some much needed cash into the place for a do up, it could be amazing!
