Bagel Mania — Restaurant in Scotland

Saw this place on the way to another shop and decided to grab some lunch. Ordered 2 Brooklyn bagel bagels which were really good and the lady who initially served us was lovely. The lady went to the back to take care of our order so we waited a few minutes stood to the side to allow other customers to order. After 5mins or so another lady came to order. At which point a man came up and rudely told her he was still serving us. To which we said we had already ordered and we’re just waiting. Then rudely asked us if we had paid. No one had yet asked us to pay (assumed we would pay when the order was ready. Since they never took the payment at the time or ordering). Asking if we had paid wasn’t an issue but the terrible abrasive attitude from the guy was very off putting. The other customer left without ordering after the rude interaction with the man. Really put me off ever coming back despite the bagel and original lady being lovely...

I usually order from here their pastrami NY deli sandwich and I love it… so one morning I decided to order my favourite bagel… when it arrives I look at the receipt and I realize it’s the wrong order… I tell the Uber driver he says I have to take it up with Uber… which I did… My money was refunded… they told me to keep the wrong order. I was hungry so I decided to eat it… it was a pizza bagel with chicken that I saw they had on offer on the app… I thought hmm it wasn’t very delicious but not so bad… then I start to realize it’s just plain aweful… After an hour I was violently sick! Throwing up… the lymph node on my left ear swelled… it was the worse food poisoning I had ever had! I am still recovering. I used to love their bagels… but I don’t think I could ever eat here again after that… it was so frightening and the thought of those bagels makes...

Food was amazing, staff were amazing, manager lady was a pain.

Had to sit through her constantly moaning at her staff, in the space of 10 minutes she was:

Complaining that someone didn't put the milk on quick enough for our coffee

Complained that someone didn't give an UberEats delivery driver their pickup in the correct way

Borderline shouted at one of her workers to "Come here" like they were a dog - only to moan further at them about talking to their colleague - the shop was completely empty at this point, god forbid two colleagues talk to each other.

And just in general having an awful attitude towards her staff, all within earshot of customers who are trying to enjoy their food and not listen to some uptight manager berate her staff.

The whole experience was made really awkward by this woman and how she treated her staff, they are...
