As an American this place was great! The food is really massive size American portions so you will not be disappointed. It has a nice atmosphere with good vibes. My husband and I came here because I saw it had good reviews and some coworkers recommended it to me. At first the guy at the front couldn't find our reservation but it was resolved quickly. You definitely need to make a reservation! We got there on time but our table wasn't ready. I think we waited about 10mins before it was ready. The bartender was nice and friendly. We got our table and ordered drinks from the waitress. She was really nice as well. The drink I ordered however was a strawberry mojito, something I never had before. It was a beautiful looking drinking but it was nasty and kinda heavy because of the strawberry puree' so I sent it back and got one of the massive milkshakes instead. It was fantastic! I had a Nutella mixed with oreo and omg yes, is all I can say! The chicken sandwiches were not only huge but tasted amazing as well! We also had the maple glazed chicken wings and those were amazing as well. Never had something like that! I highly recommend you go there if you want something with a decent price but good food. I think we spent about £48 and that included 2 pints of Tennants, a shake, 2 chicken sandwiches with fries and 4 chicken wings. I only give 4 stars because the drink that I sent back that I didn't like still ended up on the bill and when I said something to the waitress she told the manager, not sure but it was the guy at the front seating people. Anyway, he came to our table and asked if there was anything wrong with the drink. I said no I just didn't like it. It wasn't my thing. Then he kinda just looked up like he was gonna say something about me paying for it and I'm like I'm not paying for something I didn't like. I took maybe 2 sips and my husband took 2 sips and we didn't like it! It was basically a full glass! Anyway, he said he would take it off the bill this time and we paid for everything else. Don't expect people to pay for something they barely touched and didn't like. That kinda made me 50/50 on going back. I may give it a go another time....

Talk about a fun place to eat with an incredible atmosphere and an absolute stellar staff. We just got back from our dining experience and I couldn’t get to my tablet fast enough to write this review.

My wife and I arrived at 7:15 and we were the first out of a party of 10. We were told because we hadn’t made a reservation, that we probably would get our table around 8:30. The host was extremely friendly and offered us a table for 2 while we waited for our friends to arrive where we could order a starter and some drinks, all reasonably priced. Our 1st server, Chris, was next level polite, kind and even offered a recommendation to his favorite record store when he saw me come in with vinyl records I had just purchased. The drinks he made were delicious (espresso martini to start off).

When the rest of our party arrived, the host was able to get us tables well before our 8:30 time slot. Our food was very tasty, Buffalo chicken wings, hot BBQ chicken sandwich, popcorn chicken were pretty good portion sizes. And while our full intentions were to explore more pubs in the area after dinner, it was the way the staff treated us from start to finish, that made our decision easy to close out the establishment.

The only thing I wish I did was to get our host, server for dinner and our bartenders names so they also could receive recognition. Chris, you were a legend tonight. Truly appreciate everything you and the rest of Buck’s Bar staff did for us.

If you are looking for a great time out, trust me, Buck’s Bar is...

This place is hands down an EASY 10/10. First the food: I went for the classic 3 pieces of chicken over a waffle and picked the maple syrup as recommend by one of the waiters. I went over there during the busy hours (15:00) and waited for the meal like 7 minutes, are ya kidding me!? The chicken is perfectly tender, the meat is clearly of good quality (no joints or ligaments or any other bs) + the taste... Lemme tell ya, I don't like spicy food that much but it was just the right volume of hot, ya ken? Mixed with the fresh waffle glazed generously with maple syrup, + a chill pint of Tennet's made my day. Secondly, the place: cozy, keeping a pleasant atmosphere, with music, maybe a wee bit too loud for my taste but still enjoyable. Last and MOST important: the staff. All, and I mean ALL the chaps were going out of their way to make your meal enjoyable. Attentive but not overwhelmingly present, they work like bees in a hive. I've observed them for quite some time and noticed that no customer was unattended at any time, whenever someone left the premises, they would immediately jump to clean the table THOROUGHLY. Polite at all times, even speaking very highly of their boss (HUGE well done to the boss lady who runs the place!), I genuinely wish there were more such waiters in the place I come from. If you're around in Glasgow and you do allow yourself to eat a wee bit not that healthy from time to time, do NOT miss this gem of a place, I HIGHLY...

My partner, my friends and I came here on Sunday 18th May as part of my 40th birthday celebrations with my partner creating a Taskmaster theme for the day, something that the staff here were more than happy to oblige with!!! While having to wear a chicken hat for the entirety of our duration here was unexpected (as was having to make a chicken noise every time someone complimented my hat) it certainly made my birthday celebrations all the more memorable! Our group ALWAYS goes to Bucks Bar whenever we are together in Glasgow as we absolutely adore the food here and this day was no exception. Chose my favourite, the Big Smoke Mac Waffles, myself as well as splitting sides of coleslaw, popcorn chicken and fries with my partner and friends. Only complaint being that we couldn't finish it! And the drinks are always nothing short of exceptional at Bucks Bar. I swear this restaurant does one of the best Old Fashioned cocktails in Glasgow! Also very happy to see that, in the month of May, there was great offers on their drinks, including one of my favourites (Rekorderlig Cider). A very special shout out to Abby and Ava who were our servers that day, as well as Cal, Jake, Sam, Murray, Nick and anyone else who was in that day (and for complimenting my hat!) Thank you all and rest assured, we guarantee we will be back!
