The manager (male, skinny, around 5"7 with a beard) is extremely hostile and has an abhorrent attitude. Whilst on a visit to the city, I was in this pub with a couple of friends and during the visit I had to go outside to take a phone call. I got back and there was a pitcher on the table so I started drinking from it whilst my friends were conversing. Around 20 minutes later, a waitress comes and says it had been delivered to the wrong table and asked if we'd drunk from it to which I replied yes (it was on my table when I got back so I was well within my right to assume it had been ordered by my friends). 5 minutes later the waitress returned (on instruction of the scruffy manager) demanding payment because I'd drunk from it (barely). When I took this up with the manager, his attitude stank, with an argumentative and unempathetic "what I say goes" attitude. When this happens down south where I'm from and the waiters deliver it to the wrong table, they'll take it away and make a new one, not demand it be paid for and inflict duress on customers, since it was evidently an honest mistake on both my side and more so on the customers who ordered it to the wrong table and the staff for taking 20 minutes to take it back. It takes a lot to enrage me this much, but due to the manager's stinking attitude, I've had to leave this review and a complaint has also been sent to head office. An absolute discredit to...
Read moreI am making comment on my poor experience at 2230 on 26/7/2025. I was evicted by security staff,on behalf of the command of male night shift duty manager when going out for phone.
They say I got drunk, walked around and disturb other customer. However,as I needed to drive for my friends,I only order a coke and chips throughout 6 hours with my 2 friends drinking alcohol.
Thr reason why I wander around is to take care of a friend that is severely drunk and went for the toilet to make sure he is safe and awake.
However, when I stepped out of restaurant.i was asked to leave and being fobidden to go back.
When I asked for reason they claimed I am too drunk and actually I didn't buy any alcoholic drinks and while other customer are still being allowed to go into it and there is no standard how to judge a person he is drunk or not.
Thus,I suspected the manager and security guard are racist towards Asian and are discriminating against those being quiet.
I will make a complaint to head office and police as that experience is highly unpleasant and its racial discrimination.
I have been to other pub for many times and this is the first time for...
Read moreso I want to share my experience of going to Wetherspoons today with my friend. so my friend orders us food of the app and drinks, I got a fosters, the guy who gave us our drinks then proceeded to ask me for ID in which I then said that I don't have any but I'm 24 and I'm having it with my meal, he then said it was challenge 25 and my friend then said "but I have my ID which says I'm a adult" blah blah blah... he then proceeded to say that I wasn't allowed my fosters..
now I'm petty sure this was wrong customer service because anyone over 16 can have a alcoholic beverage as long as they are accompanied by an adult with ID. and to assume that I was under the age of 16 is madness because I'm completely covered in tattoos.
then I got served a pre cooked burger that had clearly not been brought upto temp properly before serving it to me... (I know this because I'm a chef myself... i know a pre cooked burfer when i see one) so not only was I refused my fosters along with my food my food was...
