It's a B&B, located on in street in Pitlochry. The room was ok for one night but nothing more and cost £95. I found the room to be old, faded, cheap decor and we'll past it's sell by date, mould in the bathroom and terrible pillows but the mattress was comfy. The breakfast service was good with only one member of staff doing the cooking and looking after the twenty guests it was busy so we staggered our breakfast times. The food was ok, poached eggs were hard and bacon quite chewy but perfectly adequate to get me going. Tea was great as was the toast. Off street parking is plentiful here and easy to access. The staff member/owner(?) who received us and coked the breakfast was a really nice person from Romania with perfect English. He has a lot of useful information which is worth taking the time to stop and talk about. There is a small ante room for use by guests but its first come first served, once a group is in there no one else can really use it. TV is in the rooms but you can hear the one playing in the next room. Will I go there again? Probably not but, to be fair there are a lot of similar places in Pitlochry so if you're going there you might well find something akin to this. I was there during the 'Enchanted Forest' period so given that it was a sell out event it was...

I'm reluctant to say it, but our room reminded me of my mother's care home - yellow painted walls, cheap pine furniture and an overpowering niff of cleaning products. Curtains were off hooks, wardrobe door awry, a hairdryer that sounded distressed, locks that don't turn. Another issue was noise; traffic from the road out front, the place literally shakes when trains pass (mercifully not that often) but, most sound emanated from within through paper-thin walls. Breakfast was indeed cooked fresh, but overcooked. And served without grace or smiles. So, in summary, a question of expectations, sorry to say that, even for a 3 star at £125 for 2 per night, I...
Read moreBrilliant experience. Christian could not have been more welcoming or more helpful. Dogs not a problem and the men stored their bikes in the garage overnight for safety, despite the fact that we were parked behind the house out of sight of the road. The room was clean and the bed lovely to sleep in. Nice and quiet too (country folks in a town). Breakfast was individually cooked, (the bacon was really good!!) and tasted great. Fab value for money and we will go back there anytime we are in that area as our first choice. Thank you Christian and Barbara for a...
