My husband and I went for breakfast this morning and it was terrible. The atmosphere was good and they were busy which I like to see at the moment, but the service was so slow.
My husband ordered the full breakfast. It was fine, two small sausages, egg, bought in hash browns, two slices of kings mill. Nothing fancy but fine! We had to ask for his orange juice twice and it took and hour for it to come. It was very nice to be honest.
I ordered the healthy breakfast - I was so disappointed. It was described as fresh fruit, yoghurt and a freshly squeezed orange juice. To be honest the description was accurate. I got a very small portion of nice natural yoghurt served with a sliced banana and an apple. Surely everyone would agree apple and banana are the worst fruits in a fruit salad. For this pleasure I paid £7.50
I would also add a filled croissant is £8.50 - I saw a man arrive into the cafe with a tray of Costco croissants.

Read moreStaff member was completely unwelcoming and rude. Went in to get some coffee and something to eat but didn't even get the chance to try anything as initial service set the poor standard. The waitress literally grunted and scowled at me for daring to ask if downstairs had more seats and was equally rude when I apologised for not realising down stairs was staff only. I hadn't been there before so didn't know the layout. She then snapped at me again when I went to sit at a table that was apparently taken although nobody was sitting at it. She made no effort to direct me to a free table or even explain that they didn't have any available. They can't seem to get basic customer service in place. I would avoid and visit somewhere more welcoming on Byers Road because this...

This place is a bit pricey if you are an unemployed student so I recommend coming as a treat but the drinks and cake are really delish. I recommend the hot chocolate, chamomile tea, matcha latte, iced mocha, chocolate milkshake, or any of their cakes. Their lunch croissant and falafel wrap are also quite yummy. The bathroom is clean most of the time but it is also a bit small and not very wheelchair accessible. I’ve been going for years now and can attest to the consistency of...
