I've got to say I am pretty sick of the inconsistent standards of this place. Their salted caramel frappe, when made properly, is so so nice, but I'd say 3 out of the last 10 times it's been presented to me as can be seen in the photo. No whipped cream, and no caramel syrup. At £5.50 this is completely unacceptable, especially since, if they are out of ingredients (which I could understand), there's never any explanation or apology. Instead they have the gall to hand me that and count on me not bothering to kick up a fuss. EDIT: the next time I came in after leaving this review, a nice lady called Stef/Steph spoke to me. She was very apologetic, explained why this had happened, and assured me it wouldn't again. She even offered to refund me for the frappes I'd written the review about. I really did not expect this (I mostly wrote the review just to vent, not expecting anyone to notice it) and it completely surprised me and made my morning.

Black Sheep Coffee - not only about amazing atmosphere and ineffable food (but those too!). It is about a spirit - spirit of « craftĀ Ā» modern and friendly Glasgow, Scotland šŸ™Œ The place shift helped me to feel calm and welcomed as I came to Scotland, Britain in general ✨ The way how those incredible guys cook, create and serve you is so warm, as you can feel the amount of love, they put into their work. Specifically, I would recommend one on a Hillhead šŸƒ However, my recommandation to visit it in the early morning (6:30-7:00) or late evening (18:00-20:00). As these parts of day or not not the most crowded and you have a chance to sit in/out and to enjoy the whole experience 🌟 With love, Yev ā™„ļø

I was out a walk with my dog ā€˜Elle’ and as we walked past, we saw that the place was dog friendly. We decided to give it ago. We were not disappointed we were greeted by two lovely girls molly and libby. Who were so friendly, smiley and chatty. Elle was greeted and made a fuss over which she loves. Not to mention also by the other customers. There were water bowls for her and an option for a puppacino which she devoured. There’s plenty seats and fab options for drinks and food. I had a typical americano which is just my go to. The coffee shop is in a great location for shops and parks. We will defo be back on our next walk. Don’t know why we hadn’t been before. Thanks! Black Sheep Coffee - A Hidden Gem with Exceptional Service!

I recently visited Black Sheep Coffee, and it quickly became one of my favorite spots in town. The atmosphere is cozy yet modern, making it the perfect place to relax, work, or catch up with friends. The coffee? Absolutely top-notch! They have a wide variety of brews, each crafted with care and precision. I especially loved their espresso—rich, smooth, and full of flavor.

But what truly sets Black Sheep Coffee apart is their incredible staff, particularly Stephanie. She went above and beyond to make my experience memorable. Her warm smile and genuine enthusiasm for what she does really shine through. Stephanie was not only attentive but also knowledgeable, offering great recommendations based on my preferences. Her passion for coffee and making customers feel welcome truly enhances the overall experience.

If you’re looking for a great cup of coffee served with a personal touch, Black Sheep Coffee is the place to go. And if you get the chance, make sure Stephanie is there—she’ll make your visit...

Edit to original review: I'd encourage people to enquire why this establishment gets so many reviews from people who have made just a single review. Compare it to any other establishment nearby and Caveat Emptor

So my favourite Starbucks on Byres Road closed for refurbishment for 5 weeks. Needing a replacement I decided to give this place a try. Given my benchmark, here is my feedback. YMMV:

What I liked The coffee is a bit better tasting The toasties are on sale (50% off) for now

What I didn't much like Kiosk ordering - I'm old school Charging more for soya milk - don't nickle and dime me The large size is equivalent to Starbucks medium size :
The overall price of the coffee - 36% more than Starbucks when you consider the size and soya milk upcharge The slowish service - especially considering they have kiosks

So overall I'd give it 3/5. Nice coffee but can/needs to do...
