Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Scotland

I visited on a Sunday. Great experience, friendly, helpful staff. It was a cool day outside, but nice and toasty inside. Costa was just about the only sign of life in central Dumfries - OK it was a Sunday - but the combination of vacant shops (I counted 20 just along the main shopping street alone!!) and lack of people gave the impression of a major Scottish regional population centre in decline and fallen on seriously difficult times. I went to the Costa Coffee cafe in Dumfries on the High Street and I liked it. The service was quick and efficient. I had a cup of Twinnings breakfast tea with skimmed milk and it was very nice. I also had two glasses of water. It is a good sized Costa Coffee cafe and there is plenty of seating inside. It also has toilet facilities. It is very handy if you are shopping in Dumfries town centre. I would recommend a visit to the Costa Coffee cafe...

Unfortunately have to drop my rating for this store. Yesterday as I waited in an ever-increasing line of people waiting to be served only to watch the staff fill out online orders first. Online orders are important & if that's the way they are going they need to have designated staff who fill those orders but not to the detriment of people in the store.
