I've been coming here for a writers group and I've found it a really great place to relax and get some work done. Being in the West End, it's not too crowded (but how many places are at 9 on a Saturday morning?) and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. It's one of the few places that operates as an Internet cafe with a few desktops placed at the back. The cafe itself has a very airy, rustic charm to it. Yes, it's a chain but it's a Glaswegian one so I feel good about coming here and supporting a local business. The coffee is pretty good. No burned taste like Starbucks or Costa where they over-roast the beans. My Americano is always smooth and delivered to my table quickly and always with a smile. I feel the staff enjoy working there which is important. Happy staff equals better service which makes for happy customers. I have tried one of their special coffees, specifically a Hazelnut Mocha. I was expecting hazelnut syrup in the coffee a la the 'big' chains but, no. I got a mocha with some sweet whipped cream on top and hazelnuts throughout the cream. It was a more mature and refined 'treat' coffee and I was left feeling that I'd had a slightly special coffee instead of warm, caffeinated sugar syrup. I would give it five but I'm reluctant to as the company is small and, whilst expanding, has been around for eleven years so my concern is how well it can compete with those bigger chains. I can't see anything that distinguishes it from the crowd other than being Scottish and an Internet cafe. Bar that, it does everything the other chains do: Breakfast, lunch, snacks, long opening hours, nice atmosphere and, of course...coffee. Whilst their coffee is superior, time will tell if that's enough to keep this fledgling chain becoming a...

Review update 10/08/2023!!!

I’m updating this review after the response of the owner. The owner is lying. I sat there and watched the whole conversation. The customer was not rude or abusive. If you checked the CCTV can you please tell everyone what was the old man wearing????? I have a video of the situation and I want to come see you in person and show you. You are worse than the staff you hire 😅 my god what a joke of a person. Let me know when you are in the cafe and I’ll gladly come down and show you you disgusting liar

The cafe is in a good location. Unfortunately for the staff, I have been to many cafes. And the girls that work in this cafe are very very rude and disgusting. I sat down and watched how they respond to customers and talk about customers after they leave. And they also make faces. Talking on their phone while making a coffee. The girl with bandana and a nose ring. And the other girl who is tall and blue eyes. Really horrible. If they don’t want to work in a service environment then DONT WORK in a customer service job! Zero for the service!!! And I hope the management team seee this review and act on...

The kinder bueno milkshake was really really good I must admit however it’s definitely not worth £6 and £9 for the biggest size, that’s extortion. The hot chocolate was barely warm, however they had lots of variety and flavors. All the pork substitutes are so bad, I ordered a pepperoni toastie and it tasted like rubber infused with artificial flavors. Why should the majority of people suffer for the sake of a few halal eaters. Why does everything need to be halal in the menu, can there not be some regular food. I myself eat mostly pork and do not eat much other meat however it’s not possible to get bacon or any pork products on the menu???

Staff seemed okay they weren’t overly friendly or smiley. The app is alright but the interface is very bad and it needs simplifying drastically. Took me so long to work out why there’s two of every option for the food, central and in kitchen. I asked the waitress and even she seemed unsure apart from it’s a different supplier.

Overall if you come here just buy drinks or dessert type items and you...

I tried that place a few days ago and it was quite a disappointing experience. - The reception was cold and inhospitable on my opinion; when we paid our order, the man was pretty expeditious and was not trying to be friendly at all. - The communication between the cashier and the cook/barista was not done properly as they came to clean our table after having brought our order. - The furniture not seem to be of good quality and the place in general could be better decorated and arranged. However : - The dishes we tried were great and tasty. The drinks were correct. - They offer free WiFi

Was really disappointed to see the great western branch close down, quality of coffee and food is always on the high side. Prices of drinks have increased over the years bur are still affordable. toffe nut latte is a must try! Amazing breakfast options and also suitable for vegans. Bathroom space is great and seating is massive for a woodlands road cafe. Only downside are the prices where are slightly higher than other cafes nearby. Coffee beans are also sourced from authentic sources and are fair trade. The owner is a great personality- will always return highly recommended this spot

The location is good for uni students for having a break (/using laptops) between lectures, and also for group meetup. *The price is a bit expensive. *The oreo hot chocolate is nice and creamy, but I would recommand to order a medium one rather than a large one. *They have some nice vegetarian / vegan options for food and drink. *I would recommand people who don't like the cigarette smoke to sit away from the front door as sometimes it blows into the shop when people smoke at the outside seats.
