My visit here today was a trip down memory lane and a real blast from my past. I worked as a waitress here 40 years ago when I was 16 years old! It was lovely to see Leonora and Marissa and recognise them instantly. Their parents would be SO proud of them, knowing how they had continued and developed their family business. The food was delicious, generous and reasonably priced for such lovely food. I would definitely recommend this cafe to my friends. My companion today, who goes to lots of cafes in the West End, East End and Merchant City was really impressed and delighted by his pollo milanese sandwich. I am not often on the Southside these days as I am a West Ender now but whenever I am in that area I will pop in for another delicious brunch and a lovely warm welcome from Leonora, Marissa and her family. Congratulations on your successful business....

Still, it's one of the better cafés in Shawlands thanks to the...

As well as coffee, you'll find a Italian dishes, cakes and pastries on offer too.
I always find myself ordering a coffee with some pizza or pasta dish. Oh and if you're looking for breakfast/brunch they have a range of great options for you.
The inside is petite which some consider a drawback but I think it adds to the local, intimate feeling that's lost in larger places.
I highly recommend to locals as a place to convene regularly and for travellers to check out if they...
