I ordered the large mixed kebab and the lahmacun. Both were very good. The mixed kebab was chicken breast, lamb cubes, lamb kebab, and their home made donner meat which is incredible and tastes nothing like your standard takeaway kebab meat. All of the meats were cooked beautifully you could really taste the smokey open grill BBQ flavour. The kebab comes with their home made bread which is so soft and not doughy it's really fresh. The chilli sauce is not like any I have tried before it's not too sweet like most chilli sauce is nowadays, it's got a nice kick. Salad all fresh. The lahmacun was very fresh and the lamb mince inside was full of flavour. £17 for large mixed kebab and the lahmacun which I thought was good value enough food for 2 people. Had to wait 15 mins but didn't mind as looks like it's all cooked to order on the charcoal...
Read moreI bought a munchy box last week. The donner meat was tasty but extremely greasy, the chips were ok but the chicken and vegetable pakora wasn't fresh and over cooked/reheated so much they went in the bin. A waste of a tenner. I was in the area today and gave them the benefit of the doubt, mostly through convenience. I bought another munchy box and guess what. The exact same unfit for eating substandard rock solid pakora accompanied by greasy donner meat. A waste of £13 this time! When I phoned to tell them, the old guy at the desk apologised but made the excuse that he was busy and put the phone down hastily. The shop was dead when I went in so pure nonsense. He did offer a fresh meal but by that time I was 6 miles away in my house. Busy or not - DO NOT PUT OUT SUBSTANDARD FOOD. In my opinion the shops reputation is overated bs! I...
Read moreI always get the lahmacun with donner meat on it. Real lamb BTW and not that nasty processed stuff. Taste is phenomenal and add the fresh salad with the BEST chilli sauce ever. This is the real deal and by far the best kebab I've ever tasted. Sure it's a little greasy but you need to try before you die. Lahmacun is awesome and is the best bread I've had with a kebab. It's almost like a nan bread, but thinner and more rounded and tastes a lot better. This place never even got a mention for the best kebabs in Glasgow.I know it was shut for a while but is now back up and running. Forget MORELLOS. This place wins hands down.Reasonably priced food. Only downside is sometimes there is a bit of a wait for the food. Let's just say this.Heaven is worth...
