Cold plates. Food instantly cool and so very many of the puddings bought in. I had the sticky toffee pudding and it was stodgy and the sticky toffee sauce was non existent. The pluses far outweigh the minuses! What a choice and the food all looked soooooo good. I had no idea what I would have but I tried several different foods. The lamb biriani was to die for. The chilli chicken balls were stunning. I had a lamb chop from the kebab section and whoever is responsible for cooking it is a legend. Fell off the bone and so tender. Tried the chicken chasni which was lovely but the absolute star dish was the butter chicken. It was just absolute heaven. The roast dinner looked absolutely delicious and although I didn't have it as I was too full I had a couple of roast potatoes and they were just gorgeous. Tried chicken gyoza for the first time and again would recommend. Had the whippy ice cream which was lush then went back for a scoop each of the banana bubblegum and chocolate ice cream. The banana was just beautiful! Service was faultless the whole restaurant was gleaming with cleanliness and the lassie who took the payment was called Sonia was a wee star! What amazed me were the large numbers of different nationalities all enjoying many different dishes the biggest group being the dozens of Muslims who were openly praising the food ditto lots of Africans too. Every single one of the various ethnic minorities are with older family members and their beautifully behaved children. The hard working staff were an absolute pleasure to deal with and were extremely polite. Finally every single member of staff kept the place spotless and the inside and outside are both very well...
Read moreTwo VERY important bits of info: It's the ONLY charcoal meat grill buffet I have seen in the UK (pretty cool and very tasty meats) but it goes down hill from there... KIDS DO NOT EAT FREE contra to all commissioned tiktok and insta posts and even if you call to ask they will tell you kids eat free... They do not.
Food: Ita NOT the largest buffet in Scotland contra to what all the social media posts say. It has a nice selection of dishes mainly Indian and kebab and BBQ meats. The pasta dishes are plain and some are undercooked. The chicken lasagna was amazing!
The pacora are soooo dry there was a mountain of them made on the side ready to be loaded into the buffet table so pass on them.
The tick prawns looked amazing and just came out but were undercooked.
The key things about the food is, select dishes are great but most dishes are not amazing.
Deserts are a big let down most cakes are rock solid stale from sitting there all day. the warm cookies are awesome.
Decore: The building is new but the interior looks like an unplanned go with the flow design with pain on door handles and tiered furnishings.
Service: It's most definitely not why you come, the staff are friendly enough and seem to work hard to get the food out but no one in particular went the extra mile.
Why I won't come back, we wanted to budget for the kids that don't eat much and distance. Both a commissioned tiktok and we phoned before coming all confirmed out 1.5 yo and 3yo would eat free. But they charged £12 for a 3yo who are one slice of pizza.
It's not worth the drive, and for the limited number of good dishes I would say your better off going to somewhere like Cosmo where kids are £2 and the selection is higher and...
