Italian Job Express — Restaurant in Scotland

I ordered a 10" pizza on Just Eat as I left the house. It said it would be a 22 minute wait before I could collect it but it was definitely ready in about 15 minutes.

I was greeted with a smile (always very important) and sent off to the wild outdoors with my pizza in hand and a whistle on my lips.

It was the perfect temperature when I got home. The base is a lovely. It rips apart well, is firm enough to hold its shape, but soft enough to be delicious. I really enjoyed it.

For less than £9 for a 10" pizza I don't think you can go wrong with it!

There isn't really an 'atmosphere' since this is not a sit in restaurant. But why would that mean that I should take stars off them for that? So 5 stars from me!

For I am honest as the day is long. The outside of the restaurant has seen better days. Someone has recently smashed the glass box on the wall so it could do with a face lift.

But what is more important than the outside, or a place to sit my gargantuan behind comfortably? What truly matters is what is inside and they have it where it counts. Right in the yum zone...

Unfortunately my order wasn't much of an express job, arriving about an hour later than it should have. I called when it was running about 25 minutes late and was told that it was just going out with the driver, who arrived promptly 40 minutes afterwards even though on Google maps it's a 10 minute journey. Maybe get a new sat nav... The pizza was ok but I struggled to notice the four cheeses as the gorgonzola seemed only to be in the menu description rather than being on the pizza itself. The curly fries were soggy and the thick cut chips weren't much better. The halloumi fries seemed dehydrated and partially mangled but the orange cake was not bad but wouldn't class it as luxury. In fairness they had run out of the ice cream and the driver gave a cash refund at the door. Overall it was not worth almost £40 and I would struggle to find a reason to go back. If I want another Italian job, I'll stick to...

Wish I could give more but I can't. I used to order from this place often but recently its just gone down hill. I live 5 minutes drive up the road and on occasion have waited 2 hours for a small delivery. When you call to chase your order, if you can get through, you get told its "about to leave the shop" then you wait another hour. Food quality has also gone down the pan. Caprese salad used to be amazing, now they give you half the portion with less ingredients but have increased the price. Also, carbonara is now completely tasteless and they don't even use real bacon anymore. This will be my last order as its clearly now a cash grab and a middle finger to the customer. Really...
