Friday 18.3.21 went for dinner. Starter oriental monkfish broth. Scallops Black pudding. Then green Thai curry. One of the best meals ever. Dessert and cheeseboard to finish.outstanding. 10/10. Staff efficient. Friendly. Thai green curry was exceptional. Had a reservation Saturday at local French restaurant. Decided to cancel and book kisas instead due to fab meal experience on Friday. Starter of oriental broth 10/10. Mussels underseasoned. A lot of them but the broth was a bit meek. Again green Thai curry for tonight and a baked cod fillet with mash and a lightly curried veloute. Chicken was cooked to perfection. Rice was pure white light and fluffy. But all of it was underseasoned. I think the chef added food colouring or processed green peppers to add colour it was horrific. Did not resemble Fridays thai green curry. It was also packed with green peppers. So disappointing. The cod was cooked on point. Again under seasoned. A poor excuse for veloute. We had spent over 90 pounds the friday night. I wanted that same experience. It went from a 10/10 to a 6/10 for the food with a further £68.00 bill inclusive of wine. Service etc brilliant. I did point out the disappointment to the lovely waitress. I dont think chef took my comments on board seriously. I mentioned I had breakfast booked for sunday and I hoped it is better than the offerings I just had. The response was chef looks forward to serving you tomorrow morning. The breakfast and service was outstanding incidentally. I am a very fair and factual person. The curry on Saturday 19th was sub standard. All the food lacked seasoning. The herbs and spices available these days and my food is inept. Chef needs to taste the food before putting it out. If I can suggest....don't ask diners after 5 minutes how their meal is. Give diners a bit longer to decide. I would normally send the inadequate dish I was given back again. At this point I had not quite finished deciding what was wrong and in the end gave up it was all wrong. We finished and left promptly. I was ticked right off at being served such a poor dish. I am confused as to how one night I taste the most amazing food to being served something the next night that I can only describe as a poor excuse for fine dining which we experienced the night before. We would have stayed and had desert and coffee with liquers etc. Chefs are not always right and sometimes they get it wrong. Chef.. take note! Place is spotless. Server's are excellent. Really nice atmosphere. Breakfast was sublime. Gordon ramsay says people don't complain. They just don't come back ! Not good business sense. Fortunately I enjoyed most of the food and I...

Our first trip to Scotland, and we just sort of happened to end up here, and we're so glad we did. We arrived in Edinburgh by plane late in the afternoon, and needed to get to Inverness for the night. The drive was too long to plan for dinner in Inverness, Perth was on the way, and with the help of Google, we found Kisa's - Yey!
Later on, when we were driving towards Inverness, my girlfriend asked me "So, how would you rate it, on a 1 - 10 scale?", because I kept raving about the food, to which I thought for a second and said "7!".
In our mind, 1 is reserved for places appalling in all categories, and 10 is reserved for restaurants where everything just leaves you breathless, wanting more - The very best restaurants has to offer. So, in our view, 7 is absolutely high praise, and after a moment's thought, my girlfriend concurred — 7!
The place was a bit noisy and the atmosphere was just on the edge of tacky, but man, the food was just yummy!
We ordered the Chicken mushroom duxelle, and the battered Haddock with chips, with cast iron cheese balls, and cream cheese Haggish to share — it was late and we were hungry. Let me just say this — I would seriously consider flying in from Denmark, just to sit down and have this meal again! We were both extraordinarily pleased with the dishes, and the fish might just be the best battered Haddock I have ever had. You know those few, rare places you have visited throughout your life, that just stand out in memory, as a place to revisit? This is such a place.
Add to all that, that the service was kind, attentive, and efficient, and you land on a solid 7 in our view, which here on Google Maps translates 5/5, 4/5, 4/5.
Well done, Kisa's,...

I was rather disappointed with Kisa’s, to be honest. I visit Perth every year and this was my second visit to Kisa’s. I had a great experience last time, however, my most recent visit was very different. I want to start by saying the service wasn’t bad at all. The waitress did get our starter wrong but I understand these things happen. We asked to move tables as my friend and I were quite uncomfortable and we were instantly moved to a move favourable table - this was appreciated greatly. Food wise, however, we felt very let down. Aside from the fact that we were given the wrong starters, the dough balls seemed a little underdone and really weren’t pleasant. As for our mains, they were just poor throughout. I had steak and chips with salad; the steak was fantastic, the chips looked like they were frozen ready made chips which isn’t to be expected when paying £32 for steak, chips, and peppercorn sauce- a little detail that really let down the whole dish. My friend had the chicken and chorizo pasta (tomato sauce base) and it was awful. The chorizo was sliced (it was commensurate to the packet chorizo for sandwiches) and the tomato sauce was lacking in flavour so much it was bland and borderline watery; I’m not expecting the world but it was the worst pasta I’ve eaten in a restaurant in years- a real let down totally absent of all flavour (I’m not exaggerating when I say I could have whipped up better myself).
I won’t be returning next year which is a shame as it was genuinely fantastic when I...
