I'm on a tour of Glasgow sandwich shops and this was the latest on my list. I have to say I've visited another amazing cafe, and it's a hidden gem because it's the other side of the Clyde.
There's a fantastic menu, full of different soup, sandwiches and more for lunch. I will also highlight their excellent breakfast menu which I have tried but my friend loves their rolls in the morning.
I ordered the Chicago Meatpacker, an empire biscuit and a coke. Waited for a few minutes and then I was on my way with my lunch. The first thing I noticed was how warm the sandwich was in my hand. I mean it was wrapped up but it was hooot. That's a good thing btw.
I got back to work and ate my sandwich and admit that I loved every bite. Then I had my empire biscuit and woah, outstanding.

Read morePopped in while waiting for tote bags to finish printing next door. Ordered a baked potato with cheesy beanos w/ side salad and a latte. Coffee made with freshly ground beans, lovely taste, not too bitter and not too hot so made perfectly.
The food was perfect. Perfect temperature for one to stove into immediately, fantastic portion.
No music or anything but the chat from the lovely staff was on point, very friendly and relaxed/natural.

Read moreWe broke down yesterday on the motorway and got towed by the police to Wallace Street around the corner....and while waiting for Volvo assist, went for a walk to find something to eat... stumbled on this place totally by chance. So glad we did, I had the stew, potatoes and peas and my wife had a cheese and ham toastie . Absolutely brilliant, lovely little shop and friendly happy staff...great prices for what we had and food was top notch. Already planning to go back, even though it's a bit out the way for us. Made a difficult day...
