The food is good but 3 stars because of the expense. £25 for a fish and a sausage supper and two cans! That's right, a quarter of a hundred pounds just for two people! It's just a chip shop/takeaway! Not even as much chips as you would get in a normally priced chippy either.

Cans of Irn Bru £2 each! I kid you not.

Also the toilet had no soap and no paper towels to dry your hands. For that amount of money you'd think they could afford those.

Also the fork I got turned to mush quite quickly but this is an issue everywhere I guess.

Won't be back because of the expense. For that money I could sit in somewhere and have proper non-deepfried food served on a plate.

For instance the West Kirk not far away from here you can get Haddock, mushy peas, chips and a soft drink for £10.38 Sausages beans and chips and soft drink for £5.45. So that's £15.83 all in with the extra of having peas and beans and it's served on a plate with a proper fork and knife. Better off...

Everything was super hot because it was cooked to order so that was great. Fish and chips were great. Cooked well and decent portion. I would come back only for that. The crab mac+cheese was pretty disappointing. No seasoning, very bland tasteless sauce. Pasta over cooked and mushy. It reminded me of the stuff you get out of a tin. Obviously it's not out of a tin but it was that bad 3/4 of it went in the bin which was a total waste of £9. Something to note when ordering is here they ask if you'd like salt and vinegar when ordering and if you do they then put it on before they've called your number. I prefer when places put salt and vinegar on infront of you so they get it just how...

I would've gave this place a solid five if it was just eating the food. It lost marks and quite probably a customer because of one cheeky girl member of staff. One customer lost probably won't make much of a difference to them but I was an average spend if £34 every time I went so it's a lot to me. I can't seem to find a reply option on here. I'm thinking it was around the 18th December that I visited. I came home and very nearly posted a bad review but I told myself not to do it. The reel plaice kept popping up on the review place and I decided to let u know if my last visit. It's a pity because it really has soured for me what is a fantastic product that u...

Having been to Ayr many times over the years I have been used to going to other places for a fish supper. I gave this place a try and I really enjoyed it. The chips were really good quality and didn't feel greasy in the mouth. The haddock I had was delicious. The batter was light and crispy with some nice small bubbles forming. The fillet of haddock was perfectly cut with no dark bits or bones. Very good size of fish for the money. Service was friendly and helpful. Was able to specify how much salt and vinegar I wanted which isn't for everyone but it made me enjoy my meal more.

Just tried this .. bit pricey... just got small chips £3.50 and it was small.. Opened box as soon as I left shop Chips just look warm. As I had waited 10mins i ecpected tgem to be hit.... As for taste !!!. Bit heavy on the salt also loads of crispy bits. Not for me won't be back Thanks for your offer to come back. However I shall come back but anonymously give it another chance.. and I shall give an honest review

When a fish and chip shop is busy you know it’s going to be good. I found this by chance whilst visiting Ayr Air Show and a Google Maps search rather than get something at the vans at the venue showed this 0.1 mile away, perfect! Slightly quirky inside, tongue in cheek sign outside and loads of staff serving. Prices are pretty much on par with anywhere else. Bamboo cutlery, napkins etc all provided with free condiments.
