Two Very differing experiences!
Was in early for the Lions Rugby. Loads of screens, even got the commentary which makes a big difference! 👏 Jamie & Bree were the staff on at the time. Both lovely. Service was excellent, food was decent & cheap. Nothing fancy but does exactly what you want from pub food. You can even order food & drink from your table using their app. Very useful if you’re on your own & don’t want to lose your table! No complaints at all. Only pub I’d use in Perth for sport.
I went in few weeks later for the Football. Totally different staff. I arrived an hour before kick-off and specifically asked if they were showing the football & was told yes! 5mins to kick-off the wrong channel was on so I asked for it to be changed. The member of bar staff asked another colleague to change it. As kick-off was about to happen, they changed the channel to the F1 Grand Prix, on every screen. I went and asked what had happened and was very impolitely told, "I'm changing it, just hang on!!!". So I waited. 10mins later after some faffing by various staff members, the Football still wasn't on. I went to check in the other side of the pub, still no football on there. I asked the original staff member what was happening and was told, they're working on it. 5mins later all 3 staff members simply went back to stocking the fridges! I went up and spoke to who I think was in charge and was told, oh more people have asked for the F1 and our 2nd Sky box is broken so we can't show the football. To which I replied, no-one told me and I've missed the first 15mins of the match. And was simply told "Well I'm telling you now!", which I'm sorry, no she wasn't. If I hadn't gone to ask I'd still be waiting! This was the exact opposite of my previous experience and terrible customer service! Very Disappointed indeed.
Bree, I think you are a manager. Please have a word with your staff that were working 3rd Aug. You were excellent. They most...
Read moreSpent Friday and Saurday in Perth. Dissapointed that not a single member of staff had any masks on whilst taking you to your seat or standing over you whilst serving you. There was also football being shown on large TVs with large groups of males shouting and bawling at the screens. Out of all the premises we were in this was by far the most unsafest and poorest one. This was like Aberdeen waiting to happen. Food - The chicken wings were easily 15 mins over cooked so they were dry, too crispy and tasteless. My wife refused to eat any more than half a wing. The black pudding battered patties were just OK, seemed a bit soggy. The burgers were were nice. Would I go back? definitely not. Not whilst this deadly virus is still with us and the lack of concern shown by the staff. I thought I would give this a go rather than Wetherspoons but...
Read moreNever met such a lazy barman just arrived at the pub on a wee day visit to Perth our favourite place been in most pubs in and around the centre But first time in hear when going to the bar the young man behind the bar was standing at the end of the bar biting his finger nails and spitting them out when he noticed us from the other end of the bar he shouted what we wanted I placed my order and waited for our drinks to notice that he placed them at the the other end of the bar where he was standing and shouted up that will be £5.30 so from that I took it I had to go to the other end of the bar if I wanted my drink if he had said can I take you hear I would have had no issue but to just shout up the bar and then place my drinks at the other end of the bar is not just bad customer service but very rude and lazy posted...
