Stopped for late lunch with the family on 16th August around 6:20 pm. Placed order for the 6 of us. The waitress took our order and everything was OK at that point. I was facing the prep line and the kitchen. A guy works there, maybe was the manager as he was wearing a grey sweater and wasn't wearing cook uniform was preparing plates and grabbing the fish and food with his hand with no gloves or tongs and was absolutely disgusting!! The cooking was using tongs but that guy wasn't. I called the waitress and asked her:" I don't want that guy to touch our food or prepare our food" She went and told him. Seemed that i scratched his ego, he walked towards me and said with arrogant voice:"can I help you?" I said " please don't touch my food as I saw you touching the food with your fingers and placing it in plates" he said" dont worry, that wasnt your food..(it was for another table)its normal over here...you from the middle east, i know its not normal there" ..
what an absolute joke !!! Are the cleanliness and hygiene standards different in Scotland from the rest of the world? Is it ok to hold people's food without tongs or gloves and by someone not even a cook?.. Unprofessional management of kitchen, hygiene ethics, cleanliness, and poor customers management.. never again...
Read morefirst time in Perth so googled for a chippy, the Blue Lagoon came up and looked very nice from the outside, so we went there. Very busy, we ordered fish supper and single steak pie - £12.45!! Had we bought a steak pie supper and single fish, it would have been 30p cheaper??? was told steak pie aupper gets a smaller portion of chips? Anyway, waited almost 25mins for it. When we got to eat it, the fish was dry as a bone with claggy batter. The steak pie had been neuked in a deep fat frier with a sign, "Mixed Food" above it - rock solid pastry with one solitary piece of meat in it and, despite the best efforts of the thick gloopy gravy, was almost dry as a bone. Worst suppers weve ever had, so wont be returning, EVER! What this lot need is an example of how a chippy should be run - I suggest Paul Fish Bar in Kirkcaldy, the best I know. On a point of hygiene, when the guy behind the counter dropped a plate into the tub of batter, he should have disposed of it as contaminated - but, as a previous customer review pointed out, her husband got a dose of food posioning after eating a supper from the Lagoon, so I`m...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf I could give a million stars, I would. Walking into Blue Lagoon Perth was like stepping through the gates of heaven itself ā only with better cocktails. The water shimmered so perfectly it looked like liquid sapphire hand-polished by angels. I swear I saw dolphins, mermaids, and possibly Poseidon himself chilling at the bar.
The food? Unreal. One bite of their chips and Iām convinced they were fried in oil blessed by ancient gods. The drinks were so refreshing, I half-expected them to cure all my lifeās problems ā and honestly, they did. By the time I left, I was spiritually reborn, ten years younger, and probably glowing.
The staff? Forget about it. They donāt just serve you ā they practically adopt you into their family, hype you up like youāre royalty, and make sure your every wish is granted before you even think of it. I sneezed once and someone brought me a cocktail napkin, a warm smile, and a life pep talk.
Blue Lagoon Perth isnāt just a place. Itās an experience. Itās therapy, itās a holiday, itās a miracle. If you havenāt been, are you...
