Title: Disappointing Lunch Experience Despite Pleasant Ambiance We selected this restaurant for lunch, attracted by its inviting decor and vibrant atmosphere. The interior boasts lovely, bright colours and tasteful decor, creating a pleasant setting for a meal. The staff who served us were friendly and polite. However, our experience was marred by several issues. The first concerning sign was when we were served water in glasses that appeared unpolished and had visible smudges, which gave an impression of poor hygiene. The food also fell short of expectations. We ordered grilled salmon, and while the dish arrived with salmon, it was far from grilled. Instead, it appeared to be cooked from frozen and was heavily coated in oil—a detail the chef confirmed. The accompanying bread was also disappointing; it lacked freshness and seemed to be soaked in oil. Given the quality of the meal, we decided not to eat it and returned the dishes to the kitchen. The staff were understanding and took the food back without questions. I can't tell about deserts as we decided to go straight away.

Food was quite good, if a little expensive. We stopped in here on our day trip to Perth, though we were a bit hesitant at first. The decor is a bit gaudy, and we've been caught out by appearances before, but actually this turned out to be quite nice. I ordered a single espresso, which was good, smooth taste and decent flavour 7/10 Wife ordered tea which was pretty standard, and they gave us extra hot water when we asked for it 8/10 We shared a coconut cake which was pretty tasty, fudgy flavour soaked into the cake, a bit too sweet but overall enjoyed it, 7/10 Looking at the rest of the menu some of the desserts looked pretty good, but the savoury stuff looked a bit average and all seemed to be quite expensive for what was on offer.

This place stood out as I walked past on a day trip to Perth. I tried a takeaway coffee as I checked out the menu thinking I'd drop back to eat later in the afternoon. The coffee was decent and I didn't regret my return visit later on. First of all, the staff are so friendly and helpful.....as well as suggesting and helping on menu items, Esha, Kofo and Lauren were bubbly, fun and interesting to engage with throughout our visit....from everything to "leafy stuff", investment banking and other branches of Haute Dolci we need to try. Food was delicious - standout place and service in Perth - loved it!

The food was really delicious, although I would expect a £10 burger to have come with some fries but it's just a burger on its own. The food was delicious but not too happy with the quantity and the portion size. If you go you must have the dessert as that is divine.

Paying a premium price for the food, I would expect the orders not to be mixed up, but the poor staff members mixed my 4 year old daughter's order. They brought in a burger instead of the chicken strips. They also were unable to communicate, that if due to the mixed order, the kids burger would be free, instead the staff member just asked if she could take the burger away, so we agreed as we feared it would be charged. The strips came and they were too hot for our daughter to eat. Don't think it's the staff's fault, but I think the place is understaffed.

The ambience was great, and the food quality was excellent. The desserts were priced right and were quite wholesome.

Parking is a slight issue, advise to park in one of the high street council parking, or Scots car Park as the street parking is always full

Overall it's a Great place, will...

As a regular customer at Haute Dolci, I often visit with my 3-year-old daughter, who absolutely loves the place. Unfortunately, our most recent visit will be our last.

While my daughter was enjoying her ice cream, I noticed a curly hair frozen inside the scoop, which was both unhygienic and off-putting. I discreetly took the ice cream to three staff members standing near the bar. They exchanged puzzled glances and muttered, “How did that happen?” Yet, not one offered an apology or seemed genuinely concerned. One of the waitresses simply brought a replacement scoop with a casual, “Here you go,” as if the situation hadn’t been a major issue.

We paid our bill and left, feeling incredibly disappointed. Not only was finding a hair in the ice cream disturbing, but the cold and unprofessional way the staff handled the situation made it clear that customer care was not a priority.

Sadly, we won’t...
