We were cheated!! A group of 4 patronised Tobermory Bakery & Tea Room for tea yesterday... when we asked for Scottish scones, we were told by the counter serving staff that the scones were on sale at 30p each & the board had wrotten £1.85 for a cup of herbal tea. We were shown a table and ee ordered 4 sets of a scone & a herbal tea each... but the bill came up to £12! When asked, the waitress claimed that the scones now cost 80p each! Even then the sums do not add up!! When we clarifief, we were just told that it was £3 eachl!! It's just daylight robbery and lack of honesty!!! Perhaps Scottish standard of Mathematics is really weak or perhaps these Scottish gals think that Asians can't count ...or..... Such an experience left a real BAD taste in the mouth indeed!! So whoever visit this bakery in future must check & recheck their prices and their bills really...

Visited here today with our family and we went in the other day and saw that the cakes looked very nice. But today we visited and it was raining we waited for a seat as people were just staying inside and not actually eating or drinking anything. So after our long wait we got 4 cakes (2 paradise slice, carrot cake and chocolate eclair) the chocolate eclair was frozen, the carrot cake was very sickly with about an inch of ice if on the top and the paradise slice had to much sugar and was extremely sickly. Was quite expensive having to pay 50p more per cake if eating in. The only thing we enjoyed were the cup of teas. Will not be...

I got the soup and sandwich combo, which came out to be a little over £6. Food portions were just right (I'm too used to being overly full from American portions). The soup was really rich and flavorful, and the cheese in the toastie was really stretchy. I figured if I'm in the UK, I might as well try haggis AND blood pudding - I was not disappointed. They went well in the grilled cheese sandwich, and the acidity in salad that came with it cut through the richness. We got our food really late though, but maybe it was because the waitress was new. Overall, food was tasty, and it's a nice place to...

What an amazing find in Tobermory. We were looking to find somewhere to eat for lunch and came across the Tobermory Bakery and Tea Room. Spoiled for choice with all the filled rolls, toasties, pies and quiches. We had a chicken, haggis and bacon pie and also a prawn Marie Rose filled roll. Both were amazing and tasty. The service was fantastic from the team. Everyone was so friendly. We had to do our cakes to take away as we were so full from lunch and they were a welcome treat after our little drive around Mull. Would highly recommend.

Too much plastic waste, using takeaway cups and boxes inside, all of which contain plastic. The wholegrain bread I brought was like raw dough inside, not what I'd expect from a bakery. I'd use regulary but can't justify the effect of plastic on the planet when their is no need. What's wrong with crockery inside, minimal washing up for a small cafe. Vegware lid but not vegware cups !!!!! On such a wildlife Island, a cafe next to the ocean should be no plastic.
