Truffles Bistro — Restaurant in Scotland

I was looking for somewhere new to try for a meal in Dumfries and came across Truffles Bistro. From the outside I thought it looked ok, As I walked in the door it was like I was transported into this amazing place. Having lived in dumfries all my life I never knew such a place existed. I was told by the owner that it was a converted 300 year old wine bond. Anyway enough about the building the food was brilliant I had some tapas to start with and Veg Stir fry for my main along with some cake and ice cream for desert. This bistro was exactly the kind of place we were hoping for when we stopped in Dumfries last Friday evening. Very good atmosphere and the food was delicious. Early bird deal meant we were just over £22 for 2 courses each and a drink. Great deal, especially for a Friday evening. Staff were excellent and though John told us he doesn't read any reviews, tell him thanks for advice on how to spend our Saturday, a visit to Drumlanrig Castle and drive over the Dunveen Pass to get home. We were there on Saturday 16/12 /2017 food fantastic staff very friendly atmosphere lovely we were there for our 35 th wedding anniversary I had soup it was full of flavour I had a sirloin steak the best steak I have ever tasted my hubby had the turkey it was so moist and plenty to eat sadly we were to full we did not have a desert we had a lovely coffee to finish of our meal keep up the excellent work we will be back again wishing you and your staff and also the great chef a merry Christmas and a good new year...
