SMACKS HAMBURGERS — Restaurant in Sefton

Ordered 2 burgers (for myself and another) with 2 crisscross fries, 2 mozzarella sticks and 2 milkshakes. The fries were a cold as they would be if you took them out of the fridge. The mozzarella sticks didn't show up at all, and instead got one small pack of chilli cheese bites, which were cold. The burgers were flatter than a McDonald's cheeseburger and too peppery and were also cold (a McDonald's £1 cheeseburger would literally be a better option) The milkshakes were as basic as can be and missing straws so we had to slurp them like Neanderthals.

First and last time I'll ever order here. Absolutely terrible. They clearly put no effort at all into even looking at the order ticket, let alone the effort in making the food itself. This place is the worst place I've ever eaten from in the area and possibly ever in my 35 years of life. I've eaten at hundreds of places in countries all around the world and I enjoy nearly every kind of food imaginable. I've lived in hostels on budget meals, eating disgusting stuff to save money; but nothing beats how absolutely terrible this places food is. My fiancée just threw up and I feel like I might as well. Visited Southport today for the one purpose of buying a cheeseburger from Smacks, just before Christmas last year we called in and ate a double Cheesebufger deal for the very first time...it was AMAZING. The nicest juiciest burger I had tasted and at a great price too. I have always craved this burger since but hadn't had a chance to get to Southport. Today however I decided my mission was to take my mum out to experience the tastiest burger and believe me, we were not disappointed. Sam and his team made both my Mum and I feel really welcome and Sam explained passionately how the burgers were made. I really liked his aura nothing was too much trouble and made sure we were well looked after. Went on the half price burger day so you’d expect it to be busy and it was reasonably busy! That said it seemed very poorly organised with regards to waiting times I ordered with 3 other people in front of me yet was nearly a 25 minute wait! 3 people on the counter and looked like just one making burgers! Also the chat between staff seemed in appropriate at times! You’d think on a day that’s going to be busy they’d have some sort of system in place but it lacked organisation and the burger really wasn’t worth the long wait! That said the chips were great! Improvement in organisation needed and more importantly staff need to be more professional around customers it seemed like they were on a lads day out!
