Albie's Coffee — Restaurant in Sheffield

Really nice bagels, short menu and fairly good coffee. When working in Sheffield it's a "treat lunch" rather than a daily thing. Despite the prices it always seems fairly busy, but the service is ambulatory rather than "at pace"? Its OK but the confines of the ground floor make it awkward waiting for your order? Given the cost of energy and the fact it's an old building it's perhaps not surprising the lower floor seating area is cold in winter, definitely "coat on". The seating area is a bit too student bedsit for my liking with it's mismatched cast off furnishings, it's a space that could be so much better with a little cool crisp Danish design vibes and a bit of hygge!

Personal preferences aside, treat yourself to a bakery bagel generously filled with tasty ingredients.....

There’s not many times a new coffee shop enters the scene and competes with the heavy-hitters in Sheffield, but Albie’s certainly fits that description.

With a fantastic selection of coffee, prepared and served to perfection, each and every time, it’s the obvious choice when you’re craving a perk-up.

But their delicious menu isn’t limited to coffees alone. They have several delights for you to sink your teeth into, prepared fresh each day.

If you’re around that area of Sheffield, it’s certainly worth visiting Albie’s, and I highly recommend that you do.

Sometimes in life you drink a coffee, and it's just like, fine, whatever, it does the job. Maybe its instant, maybe its from a cafetiere, maybe its from a Costa machine etc. But then you come to Albies and get a reminder why drinking proper coffee is so much better. It's effectively a different product of a level of quality incomparable to the common muck that 'just does the job.
