Two & Six Micropub — Restaurant in Sheffield

"2/6" it said, in Gold on a window next to a black door which, on the depression of its handle, flew open. This gave way to a bright interior with a woody feel like a small copse with an aroma of beer. The area felt spacious, tables and chairs were well placed around and led the eye to the bar, as the already ensconced patrons gave a friendly "hello". On walking up to the bar, which, though compact, was well stocked, several pumps caught the attention as the Landlady, behind the bar, waited for an order. After a short conversation on hoppiness, a pint was purchased. On moving back toward the door, a suitable  table and chair were found behind the bay window. After sitting down, a first taste was taken. The beer was well kept, in excellent condition and at £4.40 the pint, a very reasonable price. On continuing to drink, a happy hour was spent, examining pictures of old Sheffield pubs on the walls and listening to varied conversations. This a little gem of a pub has relaxed atmosphere, the landlady is always friendly and chatty and it akways has a great selection of ales and guest beers.

It's surprisingly reasonably priced and it has an art gallery attached to it. It's the sort of place you can go for pint after work, take a date or just have few drinks with friends.

This is a brilliant micro pub. It's clean, has a wide range of beers (cask & keg) and the staff are friendly. It's a bit out the way from city centre but public transport passes by if mobility is an issue. They also sell cider, wine and spirits. Fair prices too. I don't think they do food so I haven't given a rating for that. We will return when next in...
