Firstly we asked if they would do a small portion for a child (she’s 7 and enjoys Thai food but wouldn’t eat a £12-£15 portion) and they said no, they only thing we could order was a side of egg fried rice. We ordered the pad Thai noodles instead as they said that wasn’t spicy but it was a huge portion so I shared it with my daughter. We actually ordered pork pad Thai but it came as chicken. We didn’t send it back as we like chicken but it was also thin noodles not flat noodles which isn’t traditional and was very sweet and vinegary. We also ordered chicken satay skewers which were ok and a chicken red curry. The curry was made using bought in paste, we could see it in the kitchen and it’s the same one I have at home. Not authentic at all but not unpleasant and we did eat it. They had a 15% off flyer on the table which was valid until 10th August but when we asked if the bill had the discount applied they said we couldn’t use it because it wasn’t valid until 14th July. This was not written anywhere on the flyer so is mis-advertising and we won’t be returning so we just paid and left. We were the only customers there so no atmosphere. Overall disappointing as I could have made the meal myself better.

I’m an experienced Thai traveller and l have tried many Thai eateries in the UK too. This is my second visit to Paphada’s and gotta say I’m impressed once again. First time I come I had the Thai Old fashioned noodles, something I’ve not tried before and it was immense! Large portion, well presented and delicious! This was accompanied by the Pork strips which was just like I’ve had in Thailand ! This time I decided to try something I’ve had in other places many times before, something that I’ve often struggled to get well made in the UK. I had the Special Papaya Salad expat spicy ! Wow, it was amazing, just like I’ve had in Thailand, large portion and very spicy, but flavourful. I’m very impressed ! It came with papaya salad, sausages, pork skewers and noodles. The decor in the place is nice, it’s modern Thai which makes a change from the usual we get over here. Staff are attentive and helpful. Tonight the had entertainment on, traditional Thai dancing. Atmosphere was lively and fun.

I went with my Fiancé and our experience was amazing. The staff were so lovely and attentive they really care about their customers and the experience they have. The food was delicious, it was served hot and the portions were great, we had just a starter and a main each which we shared and we left fully satisfied. For the starters we had the sticky pork belly and mixed starter (the sauce that came with the mixed starter was so good). For the mains we had the Thai Green Curry which was hands down the best I’ve had it is flavourful and authentic, and we also had the Old Thai Style Dried Noodle which had the perfect kick of spice, and we chose beef with this which was cooked perfectly. We already cannot wait to return to try more of the menu and bring our family and friends.
