As first time visitors to Sheffield and therefore not knowing what is where. It was quick and easy to drive from the Ranmoor area to Victoria quays car park which as car parks go was easy to access and very secure. Being a blue badge holder the accessible parking bays are just inside on the ground floor with the exit door leading straight onto the quayside. Which although cobbled was useable by my mobility scooter. After looking around the quay and it’s buildings my partner and I decided to get an early lunch as we’d missed breakfast. True Loves is located at the end of the arches to the left from the left of the car park exit. Luckily the weather was warm and dry so we decided to sit outside. We’d arrived just before opening time but were not kept waiting long at all before a typically friendly young lady approached and took our drinks order. The food menu was accessed through QR code and we settled on a medium sized Charcuterie board with two meats and a cheese from the great selection on offer. To say it was impressive when it arrived is an understatement as I hope the picture demonstrates. And it was all completely fresh and thoroughly delicious and enough for the two of us. Together with with a drink each the whole thing was £25.00. Which given the location, the service and the standard of food it was great value for money. Just wish we’d found it...
Read moreBeen waiting for ages to try true loves ! Finally got chance to call by yesterday with my work mates. I really like the menu, it ranges from Yorkshire tapas and mezze boards to pizzas and sarnies and is broader than I had imagined.
I ordered a mezze board with 2 types of meat and a charcoal cheddar. The olives were amazing. I was pleased with my choice and really enjoyed it sat munching by the canal watching the boats. My work mates ordered a tasty pizza that was apparently very good, and a couple of them ordered the sandwiches that were good but a small portion. One of my colleagues was still so hungry after eating it she ordered a pizza too 😂. We also drank 2 bottles of a lovley pinot between the 5 of us.
Overall the location makes it worth a visit on a sunny day , and the food was good, but maybe order extra if your very hungry, and don't expect the staff to know answers to any of your questions about the food or drink😬. More training definitely needed...
Read moreSo. First visit to this place, beat my expectations. Walked past first of all as the place missed signage to say what they where called. So we went back to check and got the right place. The staff are professional and amazing. We where introduced to out table and they covered everything covid related. For the menu you need to scan a qr code due to covid and this was easy to do. When we needed a drink we waved to the waiter and he was straight over. The food and drink selection is really good. Maybe missing a couple of hand pulled bitters on the menu from local brewiers. How they support the bar next door with the customers and food orders was excellent to see and they should keep this up. Cocktails was nice but could do with some extra ones that don't have gin. They welcomed dogs which was a big plus for us. The price is reasonable as well. We will definitely be back again and the staff made this...
