Why the hell have we never been in The YOrkshireman before? It’s impossible that we haven’t been in there before now. We are in Sheffield many times throughout the year going to gigs and meeting friends and often we’ve been looking for somewhere that stays open late, has the right vibe for us and the right music. All this time it was right there under our noses.

When we went in a couple of weekends ago, chuff me it was incredible. Great atmosphere. Great music. Excellent staff, from the door to the bar to the Dj’s everyone we met and spoke to and interacted with. We could have stayed through to daylight and dinner time…if we hadn’t eventually been a little worse for wear.

We had a fantastic weekend in Sheffield but this topped off our night perfectly, we will be back….and many times over.

We were in Sheffield for the HRH Sleaze festival at the O2 Academy across the road. Yorkshireman beers were better and cheaper and the resident rock DJ kept us entertained well in to the small hours. He actually started his shift mid afternoon so no wonder he was knackered by Sunday evening. Gig venue downstairs which we did not go into. Great atmosphere and staff are superb. It's a rock bar with rock music on the jukie and a rock DJ at weekends ... If you are hoping to hear ABBA or Sheeran don't bother. See you August 2023...
