Zooby's — Restaurant in Sheffield

This place has gone downhill! After waiting patiently for 10 minutes whilst lady had some kind of issue with ice creams for lady in front, watched a drunk aggressive man in queue behind (who had only been waiting a couple of minutes for a cup of coffee) verbally assault a young teenage lad behind me, then tell me to 'pay by cash' because my card kept getting declined by the machine, whilst the staff looked on, without a word about his behaviour (appeared to be friends with him!). The male server then continued to try my card four or five times, whilst my food went cold, and my seven year old daughter was left unattended eating her sandwich, insisting that he had had no problems with machine all day and suggesting it was my card at fault. He finally let me eat my sandwich, when I offered to leave my bag to try my card at a card machine (was worried by that point we wouldn't get home!!). Absolutely no problem with card at cash machine (and later that day in max spielman's card machine). Straight back to pay. No apology, nor any kind of compensation for meal ruined. Most worrying, however, was not asking aggressive man to leave cafe for bullying behaviour towards a child, and a woman with a small child present. Wish now I had brought the police in from outside and asked them to intervene!! Really don't recommend losing lunch buying customers over abusive customers parting with £1 for the smallest cup of coffee going!!...

I visited Zooby’s today and witnessed the owner of the cafe bring a young girl who was waitressing there to tears. He was a very aggressive man with no respect for the staff who are helping to run his business, and even less respect for his customers who keep the cafe in business and were trying to enjoy a peaceful lunch. After shouting at the girl for something related to no longer accepting tips he took her into the back and behind closed doors shouted at her extremely loudly for all to hear. Myself and others offered the girl plentiful tips after he had left and comforted her. I left the cafe feeling upset for the girl and disturbed by the incident. Spend your money elsewhere.. not a man whose pockets you want...

Grab a couple of drinks, I already decided what I was having to eat but the misses was still deciding what to get. The older woman saw to us and was Ok. The young girl was can I get you anything else, I said get us a couple of lattes but was like Id rather do the food first. I was like she's still deciding, the girl was like what food do you want, my misses rushed her order and asked for it to be toasted, we paid and we was like where the sandwich, she looked at us like she didn't understand what we was speaking. She lucky she didn't burn it.

Basically I didn't like young girl attuide rushing people for what it's not like they were closing which I thought they were. If we wasn't so hungry I would said...
