The Devonshire Inn - JD Wetherspoon — Restaurant in Skipton

Very disappointed. Was questioned by the member off staff whom was taking my food order. Why I was having an item of food omitted from one part of my order, and kept in my salad, wish was non of his business but was going to be eaten by my partner. Then questioned why I had chosen to have a side order of advocodo with my meal. Again non of his business. I paid him the money. I was told I did not have enough, so I asked him to deduct the advocodo which he did he handed me the change. Guess what exactly the cost of a side of an avocado. So he had made me feel small yet again in a full bar. Its bad enough going out to eat when you have to be careful with food that you are intolerant to without been made to feel small. When the food arrived. It was no better, clap cold and I would not serve to a dog.. The manager was apologetic and offered a dessert no good to someone whom cannot..Think staff need training on keeping options to them self's and thinking before they speak. Not everyone...

Where do I start?! Do they have dragons working in the kitchen or actual human beings?! Food was LATE!!! By 1 and a half hours, then it was BLACK!!! 2 customers got their money back, we got a filthy look and a filthy table! Bar staff dont know how to follow a simple first come first serve basis! They just go for whoever looks best then proceeds to put his best chat up line on them!

When reading the menu you may aswell start crying before your meal arrives as you WILL get fat seeing they have to state how many calories are in EVERYTHING! The pictures on the walls are more interesting than the staff who seem to just want to entertain Megan that wants a milkshake! Shes probably a member of staff to!

Other customers complained their food was cold and ordered a waitress to feel his onion ring, her reply was "well we're short staffed"! If you want a hot burger get to macds!

This place doesn't deserve 1star. The very worst meal served which ultimately has put me off all Wetherspoon restaurants. My order:A baked filled potato with side salad. It arrived surprisingly soon after I ordered. It was obvious why. My account... The potato was precooked, stored in chiller. When ordered, cut filled and zapped in microwave for a few seconds. Plonked on my table by waiter who was in too much of a hurry to check that sauces, salt etc were on the table. I cut into potatoes to find it was cold from the skin all the way through. No waiter in sight. I had to collect my bags, pick up my drink and carry this cold plate of food through the restaurant to the bar. I was offered a replacement which I declined. I was given a refund for the disgusting meal. As an apology I believe the bar man should have refunded the drink too. To be honest, after such a bad meal I really was in no mood to...
