Chaiiwala — Restaurant in Slough

recently visited Chaiwala in Slough Central and ordered two omelette rolls and an aloo paratha. While I was waiting, I noticed something very concerning: the person making my food, who I later found out was the manager, was touching her nose with her hands and coughing without washing them. This was happening while she was preparing my food.

When I raised this issue with the cashier and asked to speak with the manager, I was shocked to learn that the manager herself was the one handling my food in such an unsanitary way. The cashier dismissed my concerns, saying that she didn't have the flu or wasn't taking any medication, but this wasn’t about whether she was sick — it was about basic hygiene and food safety.

Came to Chai wala yesterday to eat. Ordered the food but forgot to show my NHS Blue light card for 10% discount. When I asked the man who was at the till that can he deduct 10% as I forgot to show my card when payment went thru. His Name was Asaad and he refused to give me the discount. Then he went inside and talked to Asian lady who was working there gave me strange look but did nothing as No manager was on site. He offered me a free soft hot or cold drink. Very u considered staff at this branch in Slough and will not visit there again. I work in Southall Broadway and all our staff goes to Chaiwala on Broadway branch and never had this kind of attitude there from the staff. The restaurant was full and had no seats available. The tea was disappointingly low in quality, not the usual standard expected. We made a special journey to this branch hoping for the Chaiiwala karak tea. Instead, we received what looked like a rushed version-tea leaves mixed with water and milk poured on top, without the usual immersion or cooking. It was late in the evening and appeared that the normal tea has finished. The girl behind the counter went in to the back kitchen and brought back two cups of tea that had only recently been mixed together and hurriedly served to us.
