Do not go to this Nandos!
I want to start by saying today I have genuinely had the worst experience in a Nandos ever.
Starting from the beginning, I placed an order and when I received it there was peri chips instead of plain chips and halloumi cheese instead of halloumi sticks. I remained calm and polite and asked the manager, Martha that mistakes happen and could my order be corrected. Martha instead of apologising turned around and told me I needed to pay the difference for the halloumi sticks and she would bring the chips and perinaise over too. It was at this point that I went and sat down and noticed there was no perinaise. I decided this was enough and asked for a refund. I began to tell her that I’m really unhappy with the service and don’t understand why she did not apologise when I first approached her. She began to accuse me of shouting when I was just speaking loudly. At which point she said things like “get out” “don’t come back here”. I was absolutely shocked. I informed her she had no customer service skills and to remember the customer is always right. She became very defensive, rude and obnoxious. She went onto say what I ordered wasn’t on the receipt, I told her it wasn’t because the cashier put it down wrong. She then told me maybe I got it wrong. She also again later told me to get out shouting across from the other side of the restaurant. I have returned home and just checked my refund receipt and found the host name to read, Patrycja, so she has also lied, which shows that she knew she was in the wrong. I think Martha is incredibly arrogant and just cannot take justified criticism. I was appalled by her behaviour and I seriously am considering whether I want to go to a Nandos again, let alone this particular branch. I will be writing a further complaint to Nandos directly and I strongly feel she should not be in a customer facing job, especially not in a manager...
Read moreHad guests around and put in a big order with Nandos Slough high street via their own website. After one hour of placing the order and being advised that the order will be delivered by 8.00 pm, at 8.15pm I rang through to their customer service only to be told that the rider had not yet reached the restaurant and that the order would be delivered within 20 minutes. I asked for confirmation that this would be the case and the operator said he would speak to the restaurant to reconfirm and keep me on hold. I was placed on hold for 6 minutes and then the call disconnected. I rang back again and after going through all of the options, the time was now 8.30 pm and this time a lady operator advised me that she would also speak to the restaurant directly. All the while, i was checking the tracker app on my phone and my delivery time had now increased from 8.00 pm to 8.35 pm to 8.50 pm (this would be 1.5 hours after the initial order being placed and 1 hour after the promised delivery time). The lady operator then advised that there had been a mixup at Nandos Slough High St and that another rider had taken our order worth £90 to somebody else. And no, they were not taking the extended time to remake the order! I was advised that they COULD NOT remake the order and therefore could not fulfill it. At which point, the tracker app said my food would be delivered at 8.55 pm! I asked the question that had I not called, not once but twice, was anybody going to tell me about the mix up? was anybody going to contact me to say make other arrangements for food as we cannot deliver your PAID for order? The chicken platter and 1/4 chicken I ordered (medium) had NO glaze/ sauce, they were so beige they looked like they had just been boiled but dont worry the chef put in the "medium" toothpick so i remembered what I was supposed to be tasting. When I pointed this out, the server took the chicken and came back in under a minute having poured lemon and herb sauce over said chicken.
My husband is a type 1 diabetic who had already injected insulin and I was with my 2 year old - I didnt have the luxury to wait/argue for my food to be remade (which was not even given as an option).
Secondly nearly EVERYTHING was cold - the brocoli, the chips, the peri chips, the naan for the hummus starter, a whole chicken and quarter chicken.
My whole visit was a joke apart from the lovely middle aged eastern European server who brought me a plate, cutlery and tissues (all of which were missing and not offered in the...
