The Stamford Post in Stamford is a fantastic spot that truly ticks all the boxes. Located in the heart of this historic market town, its prime location makes it easily accessible, whether you’re a local or just passing through. The setting itself is a blend of old-world charm and modern convenience, with the stunning architecture of Stamford right at your doorstep.

One of the highlights of The Stamford Post is its incredible atmosphere. The place buzzes with life, making it perfect for both a lively night out or a relaxed afternoon with friends. Whether you're seated inside, surrounded by the stylish yet cozy decor, or enjoying the outside seating area, you’ll find the vibe welcoming and enjoyable. The staff here are always friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience.

And let’s not forget the prices—especially the beer! You won’t find many places that offer such a good selection of drinks at such reasonable prices. The affordability, combined with the excellent quality, makes The Stamford Post a top choice for those who want to enjoy a drink or two without breaking the bank.

In summary, The Stamford Post is a perfect blend of great location, vibrant atmosphere, and wallet-friendly options. Whether you're after a casual drink, a meal, or just a spot to soak up the lively ambiance of Stamford, this place should be at the top of your list. Highly recommended!

We decided to end our bank holiday Sunday with a drink and went to The Post in Stamford. We sat in the front garden, well paved area, there were 6 of us and our border terrier. She slept under the table whilst we enjoyed our drinks, not bothering anyone. We had another round and after couple of hours our young dog woke up and stood watching the world go by. Again she was not bothering anyone, no barking, no wees or poos, just quietly spending time with us. Suddenly a member of staff appeared and told us that they had a no dog policy and we had to leave. We were shocked because we knew dogs couldn't go inside the premises, which was perfectly fine, however there were no signs saying they were not allowed in paved area outside. Also, there had been another dog there earlier, again that one was not causing any issues. During the time we were there, we had young teenagers getting rowdy and swearing but we didn't complain because they were just out having a good time, however they caused more disruption than my dog. The member of staff who asked us to leave did allow us to finish our drinks but I was mortified. Everyone was looking at us and I was made to feel like a criminal. It ruined my entire day. If you don't want dogs in your paved outside area then put a sign on the gate. There are plenty of dog friendly pubs that we could have gone to instead. Shame on your member of staff making us look like criminals and...

Sunday afternoon visit . Table cleared but not cleaned had to ask for table to be cleaned .ordered on app 2 out of 4 drinks req straws and no ice .but came with ice and no straws.nit a big deal but that was just the start . Daughter was asked for ID and passed it over willingly was met with a confused look and ID being returned by being dropped on to table (slightly rude I thought ) then mum went to take a drink and i noticed the glass had food all down one side of it . Asked for it to be changed another waiter happy to help and polite . Meals came and cutlery was dropped onto a heap in middle of table at which point I said No ! Could you come back please . The cutlery was fifthly 1 fork even had a large visible lump of dried on food on the handle and all of it looked like it had been sat in dirty water and then left to dry (not just water marks but dirty) x1 ham egg chips .egg was snotty ,ham nice, chips -Childs portion but edible X1 chicken Alfredo- came with fusilli not tagliatelle but was OK. X 1 steak x chips-medium ..it had barley seen the pan . Overall disappointing visit . we always choose a weatherspoons as you can usually guarantee a decent meal at a decent price . There seems to be an exception to the rule on...

The Stamford Post is a large, above-average JD Wetherspoon pub in the centre of Stamford - one of literally a dozen pubs and bars within a 5-minute-walk radius. There's one large dining room with a long bar inside, and an equally large outside seating area that is very comfortable in good weather. Decent selection of cask ales (better than that of many other, more expensive places in the neighbourhood), and the usual streamlined JDW food at cheap prices. Not the worst option in Stamford by far, but one of the better ones indeed. Recommended on a pub crawl of this small town. Surprisingly civilized crowd on a Saturday afternoon. I guess I got lucky!
