This is the 2nd time we’ve been here and it’s always great to have a nice walk and a bite to eat.
My daughter loves it here because all the people who visit have dogs and everyone is so so friendly. It’s a great place to come and relax and enjoy some time to have a coffee.
I think there needs to be more information on the menu for dietary needs so it is clear as soon as you sit down, it’s hard to have to explain in front of staff who are busy. Most restaurants/cafes now explicitly show ve/vg/df/gf on menus to display the dietary restrictions within their food. I think this needs to be looked into.
I also think some of the food on the menu especially the flatbread curried sweet potato lunch dish needs to be done properly. It felt really half hearted and the curry was just jarred paste that wasn’t even cooked properly and it tasted extremely bitter. I don’t like paying nearly £10 for something that doesn’t taste good.
Overall this time round not impressed with the food compared to last time which was fantastic, I’m not sure what has changed but definitely not good food in...
Read moreBeware of child's meals here. We ate lunch here on Saturday. There's a good menu and enjoyed the meals for adults. We had delicious potato hash with eggs and avocado and eggs on sourdough toast. However the child's meal was very poor quality and bad value. The sandwich was a single slice of processed white bread with one slice of processed ham. No butter or spread. This came with a fruit shoot, a packet of cheap crisps and a shop bought yoghurt tube. This cost £6.95. We thought it was poor value and not consistent with the quality of adult food which was excellent. We've had sandwiches here before which have been excellent on good quality bread with delicious fillings. Maybe the poor child's meal we experienced was a glitch but I would beware of buying food for...
