I started coming to the cricketers when my other local closed down. I immediately felt welcomed into the pub and felt part of the place which has become my second home. There will always be a friendly face to make you feel welcome even if you go alone. The live music is always amazing quality and good fun. My meet up group have regular socials here because they feel so welcome. I have often eaten here more times than at home in a week because the food is so good. Huw is always accommodating with how you want your food cooked and goes above and beyond to ensure the meal is to satisfaction. The roasts are great quality and value for money and huw and adz are the perfect sunday dream team. I have enjoyed duo lingo competitions and whisky recommendations from steven on evening when i have needed a listening ear the staff are always amazing. Kat goes above and beyond for the venue and events such as ve day the staff go all in. Emily sam and Reuben always go out of thier way to say hello and chloe kyall and alex handle my indecisiveness over what to drink with a flourish. This venue is dog friendly kid friendly family friendly solo friendly group friendly and both a locals bar and dive bar in one. Cannot...

Managed to fit us in for a roast fairly last minute as a previous booking had fallen through at a pub that will remain unnamed, super understanding over the phone and at the bar.

Awesome roast dinner as well, cheap and cheerful but didn’t feel so, been drinking here for a while on the open mic Mondays for the cheap cask pints but definitely will come back for a Sunday roast...
