Can't relate to the positive customer service reviews below, we had a genuinely bad experience! Where to begin... We asked Dave for help because the tiles in question had different shade codes and names on the boxes. The response we got (in the most patronising tone you could ever imagine): "erm, it's because they're different tiles" - incorrect. It was in fact the same tile which had two different names, and several shade codes, despite being the same tile. My husband has a trade account and we queried the discount codes which were available online, Dave began by quizzing us on who's trade account it was, in a somewhat assuming tone that suggested that we couldn't possibly have a trade account, and finally shrugged and said they weren't available here and we should "just buy online then". We then queried whether we could return some adhesive which was purchased less than two weeks ago because the type of tile we had was incompatible with it, to which we were told "nope, you can only return adhesive within 1 week of purchase because it might go off if it's been stored in your van". Never heard that one before. My husband and I were so frustrated we said we were leaving to go elsewhere, at which point Dave began to backpedal and say "no no, I want to help you" - unfortunately it seemed from the moment we asked for your help, you had zero interest in helping us but had every interest in making us as uncomfortable as possible. We found him to be rude, standoffish, unwelcoming and unknowledgeable. We left and drove to the store at Stanley Green where we have been previously. Our first visit focused on bathrooms, and we were given every possible help in choosing our tiles, matching with feature tiles, matching with floor tiles, deciding colour schemes etc by the amazing Mike Booth, the Manager. He noted all the final choices and sent us e mails confirming everything. We were dreading the experience but thanks to Mike it was pleasant and straightforward. At our second visit, to look at kitchen tiles, he was equally helpful and committed to getting it right for us. Thanks to Mike's expertise and patience we were able to sort out everything with the minimum of fuss and effort, and we were happy that all the choices were the right ones.
