EDIT: So, it's the day after I had the 'sick-tasting' halloumi and both me and my partner are incredibly unwell. We were going to contact the company when they opened to try and settle this quietly without spreading more negativity. But since the company have chosen to take a condescending approach to my review instead of being helpful, I'd like to point out the fact that I said in my review that 'I've never had halloumi that tasted like that' which does in fact imply that I've had halloumi before and I do not in fact need to 'add to [my] knowledge'. I've cooked halloumi myself before, I've eaten it at many different places before and I have enjoyed it without it making me feel incredibly unwell the day after. So, I don't know what exactly you did to it to make it taste and smell like vomit, or to make us both feel so incredibly sick, but perhaps you should start looking there, because at worst all I could envision when I first tried it was that someone had been sick in the fryer and continued to serve it up, but speaking realistically I'm starting to lean towards you serving up a bad batch of/gone off halloumi. Perhaps before you serve it to customers, you should google how to properly cook it and check to see if it's gone bad before you make people unwell :)

[original review]- I ordered one of the burgers from here tonight (the butterfly burger, I believe) and the halloumi on it tasted and smelled like (for lack of a better word) vomit. I don’t know if it was off (I suppose we’ll find out tomorrow) if it was cooked wrong or what but I’ve never had halloumi that tasted like that. It made me gag almost instantly upon trying the burger and after deconstructing it to see what it was, it was the halloumi without a doubt. My partner also gave it a taste just in case it was my taste buds and he described the smell and taste the same as I did (vomit). We called up the place and they were completely unhelpful about the whole thing, which only made the whole thing worse because I’d paid £7+ for a burger that was...

Extremely bad. I rarely write reviews, but this had to be done and Im sorry but I have to be honest. I work all over the UK and have peri peri chicken from london up to Scotland and this is comfortably in the top 3 worst peri peri meals I've ever had. The full peri peri chicken platter I ordered is absolutely dry and somehow very tough at the same time whilst having no infused taste whatsoever. The lack of flavour and taste would be somewhat forgivable if the chicken was juicy and tender but it's simply terrible in every department. I'm actually intrigued as to how a full chicken can be cooked (in the same day, I assume?) and be this dry and tough. I cook chicken all the time and use thermometers. This chicken isn't cooked fresh, there's no way it can be that dry and tough.

I can only compare it to like those full chickens you can get from the deli in Tesco that have been cooked and then warmed all day - then thrown on a grill and charred with some sauce dashed over the top.

Garlic bread was soggy and bland but I knew that as soon as I saw it was placed in the tin tray alongside the peri peri chicken and chips. Fried chicken wrap was OK tbh.

Fingers crossed I don't become ill from the peri peri...

Last night we decided instead of our usual Friday night takeaway we would go out to celebrate my son doing so well at school. As it was his night it was his choice and so we ended up in lucky's and he couldn't have made a better choice. Not only is the place stunning inside (it is an Instagram dream interior) but the food was some if the best we've had! The burgers were amazing as were the pizza fries and chilli nuggets. Everything was cooked perfectly and the service was so fast! The restaurant is spotless and the staff were so friendly and attentive. I've passed this place a million times and always thought it looked really fun and inviting but I was not expecting the food to be as brilliant as it was. We ended the night with waffles which were as light as a cloud and super fresh meaning we could actually finish them which is the problem in so many waffle places they are like eating a lead pillow but not here. Needless to say this is going to become a regular place for my family and I would encourage you to...

It had been a couple of years since I last ordered from here, so I thought I would give it ago. Ordered on a week day and was delivered within just over an hour, but it’s only a 3-4 minute drive away. Chicken burger was nice but tasted like it had been fried in slightly old oil. Same with the hash brown and onion rings. Also, didn’t add the cheese that I paid for. Chips weren’t all that nice, cheap and very potatoey tasting, if that makes sense. And again, didn’t add the peri salt that I paid extra for. Gravy has nice flavours, and very similar in taste to another big chicken shop on edgeley, but it was very watery. So yeah, some issues here and there but if I’m ever in the mood for it again, I’ll just pop in rather than get it delivered. Not worth waiting over an hour

It was my last meal in the UK, just before heading to the airport. And it did not disappoint. It was absolutely amazing. I forgot to take a picture of the main course (cus I just wanted to dig into it the moment it hit the table), but I had the half chicken with lemon and herb dressing, and as the sides the pulao rice and the peppercorn sauce. AMAZINGGGGG. The chicken was so juicy and well flavoured. It was tangy and herby and absolutely spot on. The rice was also well made, mild flavoured which went well with the chicken. For dessert we also had the strawberry waffles with Nutella and it was fresh, soft and yet slightly crispy. The ice-cream however tasted a bit weird/plastic but honestly I ignored it and ate the waffles happily :p

Love the decor in this place, was nice and pretty. Anyways I ordered the bacon overload with loaded peri chicken chip-pizza which was so tasty, really enjoyed it and was so filling. We were going to order dessert with our meal but so glad we didn't because we were all stuffed, it was so filling we wouldn't have fit any dessert. When i was choosing what to eat i was stuck between ordering the chip-pizza and burger and the fact that they offer the upgrade fries where i got to have both the burger and chip-pizza was win win 😁👍🏼The others ordered a route 66 and luckys grilled stacked with cheesy chips and i tried both their burgers and they were delish. Would definitely go again. The staff were nice and friendly.
